Dear Ladies in the Boardroom,

A few months ago, our founder, Captain Edith Delight, launched the Xcape Affiliate Program to empower the Ladies in the Boardroom toward financial independence. Many of us proudly signed up.

Hello Ladies in the Boardroom ,

I’m sure most of us are aware of what has been happening with Captain Edith Delight 's pages.

For those who are new here, a quick background:
Dr. Edith Edith Gibson is the Founder of Ladies in the Boardroom, an initiative dedicated to empowering female entrepreneurs in Cameroon.

Many of us are direct beneficiaries of this movement.
The initial goal was to empower 200 female entrepreneurs in Cameroon. Selection was done through an online application process for outstanding applicants.

After that, many other female entrepreneurs who were not selected, and some who had not applied, persistently requested to be part of this movement.
Knowing Captain’s heart and her commitment to service, she opened the doors to all who were willing to learn and grow. That is who she is: selfless and inclusive.

Captain also went to great lengths to secure sponsors and partners for this initiative. One of them was the UK in Cameroon.

Through this movement, we have had access to:
- Free mentorship
- A platform to showcase our businesses
- Cash prizes
- Access to Captain’s network and social capital, and more.

Now, to the matter at hand. With your permission Captain 🙏

For some time now, we have seen posts on Facebook attempting to undermine this initiative and its impact. What is concerning is that some of these posts have come from people who were part of the program.

Captain has never positioned this movement as one of giving free handouts.
The support she provides is intentional, strategic, and sustainable.

However, it appears that some equate empowerment only with direct cash gifts. As a result, false narratives have been spread. Some individuals have even made demeaning posts while wearing Ladies in the Boardroom T-shirts.

We see it. But it will not distract us, because we are focused on the mission.

Captain has remained silent for a long time despite efforts to tarnish her image and attempts to shut down her platforms.

We know she is deeply focused and does not entertain negativity. If she is speaking up now, it is because the situation has escalated and it is clear that the intent is to obstruct the important work she is doing for the community.

But one thing is sure, SHE is UNSTOPPABLE.💪
