🗼𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 (𝐀𝐆𝐂𝐂𝐈) – 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐧 🇨🇲

From 𝟏𝟒 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟗 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at the 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 (𝐇𝐈𝐌𝐒) 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐮𝐞𝐚, girls and young women aged 14 to 25 are taking part in the 𝐀𝐆𝐂𝐂𝐈 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩, a flagship initiative led by the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐈𝐓𝐔), in partnership with 𝐔𝐍 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 and the 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧.

The programme aims to bridge the digital gender gap by equipping participants with key skills in coding, web development, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and robotics, while strengthening their leadership, confidence, and entrepreneurial mindset.

Through an innovative approach combining multilingual online learning (via the ITU Academy) with hands-on, in-person sessions, AGCCI delivers a strong message:

Une réunion de la Task Force sur la communication censitaire, réunissant le BUCREP et les agences du Système des Nations Unies, s’est tenue Ce lundi 16 mars 2026 au siège de l’UNFPA à Yaoundé afin de coordonner l’appui du SNU, y compris le CNUDHD‑AC, à la stratégie de communication du 4ᵉ Recensement Général de la Population et de l’Habitat (RGPH) et du Recensement Général de l’Agriculture et de l’Élevage (RGAE), prévus du 24 avril au 29 mai 2026 sur l’ensemble du territoire national.
Les échanges ont principalement porté sur l’examen du plan de communication censitaire et de mobilisation sociale, visant à renforcer l’adhésion et la participation des populations dans un contexte marqué par des défis multiples. L’objectif central est de faire du recensement un acte citoyen de confiance, en rappelant que chaque personne compte, et que ces opérations constituent un levier essentiel pour une planification équitable des politiques publiques et du développement du Cameroun.

04 March 2026, UN Women Cameroon, together with CERESC and the Department of Sociology of FALSH, hosted the 6th edition of the special conference series at the University of Yaoundé I under the theme “Gender, Peace and Society.”
Attended by the Minister of women empowerment and family Mr Marie there Abena Ondoa , the Rector of the University of Yaoundé I, Professor Rémy Magloire Dieudonné Etoua, as well as le Resident Representative of UNWOMEN Marie Pierre Raky Chaupin, Discussions highlighted the urgent need to address the rise in feminicides, questioning their causes and the limits of current mechanisms.

Dans le cadre de la Journée internationale des droits des femmes 2026, l’Association des Femmes Africaines Entrepreneures (AWEP), a organisé une rencontre d’échanges placé sous le thème ‘’Droits, justice, action pour toutes les femmes et jeunes filles’’.

La rencontre à laquelle ont pris part le Ministre MINPMEESIA S.E. Achille BASSILEKIN III, les Représentants Résidents d’Onu Femmes Cameroun et de l’OIM Mme Marie Pierre RAKY Chaupin et Mr Abdel Rahmane DIOP avait pour objectifs de promouvoir l’autonomisation économique des femmes déplacées internes, de renforcer leurs capacités entrepreneuriales et de créer un espace de dialogue entre les institutions, les partenaires techniques et les actrices locales.
Les stands d’exposition ont mis en lumière la diversité et la qualité des produits issus du savoir-faire des femmes IDPs, leur offrant une plateforme de visibilité et d’opportunités.
