There's a framework worth knowing.

In life, there are four categories of knowledge — the known knowns, the known unknowns, the unknown knowns, and the unknown unknowns.
Most conversations stay in the first two. But the best ones go deeper.

The panel Discussion at Summit 2026 National Finals went deeper.

Six professionals: Afopezi moses Steve Yonkeu Hermès Durand W. Dolorès Mache (N.) Dessap Fomekong Loic Joffree Matt-Klaus Mushi spanning tech, startups, robotics, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and leadership, sat before 200+ youths with one shared mission: to make visible what had been invisible.

To name the skills, the pathways, and the opportunities that many of these students didn't know existed and in some cases, didn't know they were already building toward.

Moderated by Awa Cho Might with focus and intention, the conversation moved through every dimension of what it takes to succeed today. Not the theoretical version. The lived one.

What does a company actually look for in young talent? How do you access global opportunities from Cameroon? Do you build something or join something first? When do you start?

The unknown unknowns became known. And that is a gift that does not expire. 🎯

To the jury members of the TiC Summit 2026 National Finals, Fomekong Loic Joffree Steve Yonkeu Afopezi moses Seka Jean Blaise Dolorès Mache (N.) Ridley B. Mbonjo, PMP Matt-Klaus Mushi Hermès Durand W., a sincere .

You gave up your time, brought your full expertise to the table, and engaged with every project with the seriousness these students deserved.

By the end of the presentations, the amazement in the room was yours, and that is the greatest complement our young innovators could have received.

TiC Summit exists to build the next generation of problem-solvers. You helped validate that they are already here. 🙏

🥉 3rd Place — TiC Summit 2026 National Finals

Gas leaks are quiet. That's what makes them dangerous. There's no visible sign, no immediate alarm, just a risk sitting in the room until it's too late.

built FT Gas Track to change that.
Their device detects gas leaks the moment they occur and instantly sends an SMS alert to the user. No delay.

No guessing. Just a direct notification that gives people the chance to act before a situation becomes a tragedy.

Simple in design. Critical in purpose. Built by students who understood that the best solutions don't have to be complicated, they just have to work.

Congratulations, Fal-Tech. 🏅

2nd Place — TiC Summit 2026 National Finals

Fertilizer costs in Cameroon remain a persistent barrier for smallholder farmers, heavily import-dependent, and consistently out of reach when prices spike. At the same time, agricultural waste across the country goes largely unmanaged and under utilised.

Anamity Peter Paul, Zifu Miguel, Tamighan Shalom built to close that gap. Their hardware system collects agricultural waste, processes it, and converts it into fertilizers and natural insecticides, creating a local, low-cost input from resources farmers already have on hand.

The solution doesn't ask farmers to do more. It asks them to waste less.

Congratulations, Agro Giants. 👏

Congratulations to Fankam Voufo Diane Barbara, Voufo Voufo Gloria La Fortune, and Bobga Clevis, —

place winners of the TiC Summit 2026 National Finals.

Their project, a pressure swing adsorption oxygen concentrator, addresses a documented healthcare crisis.

Gen Omega built a device that pulls oxygen directly from the air and delivers it continuously — removing the dependency on imported cylinders and unreliable supply chains.

Secondary school students. A real problem. A working solution.

Congratulations, Gen Omega. 👏

🥇 1st Place — TiC Summit 2026 National

In Cameroon, 1 out of 3 hospitals do not have functional medical oxygen. In district hospitals, the situation is worse — supply gaps, delayed refills, and long distances from oxygen sources mean that patients in critical condition sometimes simply don't make it.

, two secondary school students, decided that was a problem worth solving.

Their pressure swing adsorption oxygen concentrator draws air directly from the environment, separates the oxygen, and delivers it in a continuous, steady flow, right where it's needed, without waiting on cylinders or supply chains.

Built for hospitals. Built in Cameroon. Built by students who looked at a gap in the healthcare system and chose to fill it. 🏥

Congratulations, Gen Omega. 👏

Yesterday's semi-finals at the 3D High Tech Center, Yaoundé were not a showcase. They were a selection, 20 teams, all with functional prototypes, competing for a place in today's National Finals.
Here is what was presented:

for Knowledge (Alpha Girls): an AI-assisted learning platform making education more accessible and interactive.
(Brag Tech): a system converting foot traffic into electricity.

Bridge (Apex Solution): a direct connection platform between job seekers and employers.
Bridge Builders: a supply chain platform reducing food spoilage by linking farmers and buyers earlier.
Dreamers: a hybrid solar-biomass energy system targeting both rural and urban electricity needs.

Dicnotry (Team WAM): an AI-powered classroom recorder that converts spoken lessons into text.
(Prime Innovators): a platform combining remote learning and school fee payment in one space.
(Agro Giants): a system transforming organic waste into biofertilizers and natural pesticides.

Pulse (Green Tech Pioneers): a data-driven mobile tool for farm condition analysis and yield improvement.
KABY: a plastic waste processing system producing pavement bricks and household materials.
Gas Track (Fal-Tech): a gas leak detection device with instant SMS alerts.

G7 (Elite Nation): mobile solar panels designed to reach communities where fixed infrastructure cannot.
Omega: a pressure swing adsorption oxygen concentrator for healthcare settings.
Janels: a plastic-to-road-material processing machine improving surface durability.

Main Leaders: a biogas production and on-demand distribution platform.
Agritech: a smart bin and app system that rewards plastic waste collection from communities.

Every team that stood on that stage yesterday brought a working prototype. That alone is worth noting.

The finalists are competing today at Helen Hotel, Yaoundé. The public is welcome.
