Congratulations to the young beneficiaries of our program NKONG FONDOM PUPILS SPELLING CHAMPIONSHIP 2026.

41 out of 45 from 3 primary schools passed the Cameroon First School Leaving Certificate. 91% success.

Empowering pupils in conflict affected communities through reading, writing, and spelling exercises restores a sense of normalcy, confidence, and hope in children whose education has been disrupted by crisis. By strengthening literacy skills, it improves academic performance and keeps children engaged in school instead of dropping out due to displacement or fear. The championship also creates safe, neutral spaces where pupils in conflict affected communities learn and compete together, breaking down stereotypes and building friendships. Beyond the classroom, improved reading and communication skills help children express themselves, manage emotions, and resist misinformation. Parents and teachers report increased motivation, pride, and community support for education. Ultimately, the program nurtures a new generation of confident, articulate young people who see learning as a tool for healing, resilience, and peacebuilding in their communities.

At Nkong Fondom Inter-Village Sport for Peace and Socio-Economic Empowerment, Sports create neutral spaces where former adversaries play by shared rules, rebuilding trust and social cohesion that conflict destroyed.

This annual initiative generates jobs, skills, and local enterprises around coaching, events, and equipment, giving youth in conflict-affected communities tangible economic alternatives to violence.
