THE CYCLE OF SELF-DESTRUCTION: A PATH WORTH TRAVELING?
As we stand at the crossroads of change, we are faced with a crucial question: What kind of revolution do we truly desire in Cameroon? One that brings about destruction, chaos, and suffering, or one that fosters growth, unity, and progress?_
When we burn our community council buildings, we are not just destroying documents; we are incinerating our own identities, our birthrights, and our future prospects. Who will benefit from this ashes-to-dust approach? Will it be the faceless politicians, or will it be the ordinary poor people who call these communities home?
And what about the police stations, those bastions of order and security? When we torch them, we are not just destroying buildings; we are dismantling the very fabric of our society. Who will protect us from the predators that lurk in the shadows? Who will safeguard our families, our properties, and our lives?
The roads, once paved with promise and progress, now lie in ruins. The giant potholes that emerge will swallow our dignity, our time, and our sanity. Who will suffer the most? The same people who claim to be fighting for a better future. So is the change from emergence to destruction?
We attack fuel and or petrol stations, crippling the very lifeline that keeps our economy moving. We destroy industries, leaving countless families without a breadwinner. We loot and pillage, only to realize that we are devouring our own seed corn.
And when the dust settles, who will be left to pick up the pieces? The same people who started the chaos? Or will it be the ordinary citizens, the ones who never wanted to be part of this destructive cycle?
We are told to follow leaders who hide behind the safety of their own children, who have been shielded from the very chaos they have unleashed. We have been told to trust those who claim to know better, but who don't dare to lead by example.
The question is, when will we learn from the lessons of history? When will we realize that the monster we are nurturing will eventually devour us all? The path of destruction is easy to tread, but it's a path that leads to ruin. Is this the kind of revolution we truly desire? Or do we want to build a better future, one that values progress, unity, and the well-being of all? The choice is yours.
Best regards.
