Why should you know about NDC 3.0?

🌍 𝓦𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓲𝓼 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓝𝓓𝓒 ?
The Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) is Cameroon’s climate action plan. It outlines what the country is committing to do to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change under the Paris Agreement signed in 2015.

📄𝓦𝓱𝔂 𝓲𝓼 𝓲𝓽 𝓬𝓪𝓵𝓵𝓮𝓭 𝓝𝓓𝓒 𝟑.𝟎 ?
This is the third version of Cameroon’s climate plan. Countries are expected to update their NDCs every five years to reflect stronger climate ambitions, new priorities, and changing national circumstances.

Cameroon’s NDC 3.0 covers the period 2026–2035, providing a roadmap for climate action over the next decade.

La Contribution Déterminée au niveau National (CDN) est le plan d’action climatique du Cameroun. Elle présente les engagements du pays pour réduire ses émissions de gaz à effet de serre et s’adapter aux effets du changement climatique, conformément à l’Accord de Paris.

📄 𝓟𝓸𝓾𝓻𝓺𝓾𝓸𝓲 𝓹𝓪𝓻𝓵𝓮-𝓽-𝓸𝓷 𝓭𝓮 𝓵𝓪 𝓒𝓓𝓝 𝟑.𝟎 ?
Il s’agit de la troisième version de ce plan. Les pays sont appelés à mettre à jour leur CDN tous les cinq ans afin de renforcer leurs ambitions climatiques.

📅 𝓟é𝓻𝓲𝓸𝓭𝓮 𝓭𝓮 𝓶𝓲𝓼𝓮 𝓮𝓷 𝓸𝓮𝓾𝓿𝓻𝓮
La CDN 3.0 couvre la période 2026-2035.

Elle oriente les actions climatiques du Cameroun et constitue une référence pour les institutions, les collectivités, les organisations, les jeunes et tous les acteurs engagés dans la lutte contre le changement climatique.

We are looking for individuals and organisations ready to contribute to movement building, advocacy, campaigns, convenings, volunteering, and collective action for a sustainable future.

✅ You are an individual climate activist OR part of a youth-led, girl-led, or young women-led organisation below the age of 35.

🌍 Climate action starts where we are

World Environment Day, observed on 5 June, reflects a reality many communities are already living.

Through years of working in frontline communities, we have seen how climate change is driving ecosystem degradation and biodiversity loss, directly affecting people’s lives and livelihoods. Our environment is under pressure, and protecting it is a shared responsibility.

This year’s theme, “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.” is a reminder that the response cannot wait.

the LCOY Cameroon 2026 Organizing Team! The Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) Cameroon 2026 is calling on passionate, committed young people from across the country to join our organizing team. This is your opportunity to help shape Cameroon’s most impactful youth climate event and to amplify African youth voices in the global climate conversation. We are looking for driven, collaborative who are ready to take meaningful action for climate justice.

We are looking for categories of volunteers:
Coordinators! One coordinator per region, across all ten regions of Cameroon to serve as the face of in their communities
