Day 2 and final day of the North West Women Mediators Summit marked another inspiring and productive day as women leaders, peacebuilders, and mediators came together to reflect on strategies for building a strong and sustainable peace network in the North West Region and how women's voices can be heard in places that matter.

Participants engaged in meaningful discussions on the challenges faced by women mediators in the field and explored practical solutions to strengthen their effectiveness, visibility, and impact within communities. The conversations highlighted the importance of collaboration, mentorship, capacity building, and institutional support in advancing women's leadership in peacebuilding.

A major highlight of the day was the official launch of the North West Women Mediators Network, a significant step toward amplifying women's voices, strengthening coordination among mediators, and promoting inclusive and sustainable peace across the region.

At Lifein Association Cameroon, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that empower women and girls to become active agents of peace, dialogue, and positive change within their communities.
Thank you Mother Of Hope Cameroon - Mohcam for this wonderful initiative. It was timely. Bringing us all together for a common goal was not easy but you made it and together, we can build a future where women's voices are not only heard but are central to shaping lasting peace in our communities.

As a Participant and as advocates for women's empowerment and social inclusion, we believe that sustainable peace cannot be achieved without the meaningful involvement of women. Their voices, experiences, and leadership are essential in building inclusive and resilient communities.

Before You Are, You Were Loved: For Mothers and Girls

Mothers, you are the first law,
The first blanket against the raw,
You built this world from bone and breath,
You argued with life, you bargained with death.

Girl child, listen, come draw near,
Motherhood is not chains, it is spear,
It is power to name, to feed, to lead,
To plant tomorrow in today’s seed.

They told you mother means “less,”
But mothers mend the world’s distress,
From the Donga hills to every street,
A mother’s feet make nations meet.

Your body is not a battlefield,
It is a garden, fenced and sealed,
Choose when to open, choose when to grow,
Your “yes” is holy — let no one say no.

So we at Lifein Association (LIA) stand and say,
To every mother, every girl, today,
Your rights are roots, your love is law,
Before you _are_, you _were_ loved — that’s the core.
