Reductions in soil fertility, declining crop yields coupled with increasing household food insecurity, and rising farming costs are some of the daily challenges faced by many smallholder farmers in Cameroon, especially women who are the main food crop cultivators. Regenerative Agriculture offers a sustainable solution.
In response to these challenges within Bangem area, ISUDEV with support from Luena Foundation conducted a-one-day training workshop this weekend, on regenerative agriculture. A total of 21 women and young girls from Mbuku villlage were trained on regenerative agriculture techniques. The workshop was designed to help these women farmers understand practical techniques that can improve their farms, increase food production, generate income and contribute in creating healthier environments for their families and future generations. In the coming weeks, the women will be trained on organic liquid fertilizer production using household wastes.
