Agroecological transition is an imperative in the countries of the Congo Basin, and particularly in Cameroon. This is why the Network for the Promotion of Agroecology in Cameroon (NEPAC) was created in November 2023. It is a platform made up of civil society organizations aiming to promote and support the development of agroecology in Cameroon through collaboration, advocacy, research, awareness-raising, experience-sharing, education and support for transition zones. To this end, NEPAC has drawn up a strategy document defining its areas of intervention and the main tasks the network will undertake. As the strategy is a general orientation document, it is necessary to operationalize it in order to improve understanding and application of the work to be carried out.
NEPAC has a well-defined charter which provides for two general assemblies to be held each year. In 2024, the first AGM, held in Bafoussam on February 20 and 21, 2024, enabled NEPAC to draw up its first action plan and organize its activities for 2024. The second general meeting was held in Limbe from October 16 to 17, 2024, to take stock of the various actions that had been validated by NEPAC, and to plan its future activities. In 2025, NEPAC is organizing its first general meeting of the year, to be held in Kribi. The aim of this general meeting was to organize NEPAC's activities for the year 2025, and to take stock of the actions that have been validated.
