🌍 WORLD HIV/AIDS WEEK CAMPAIGN
— HIV/AIDS Prevention & Stigma Reduction
HIV/AIDS remains one of the world’s most serious public health challenges, but together we can prevent new infections and end stigma. At HEG, we are committed to creating awareness, supporting vulnerable groups, and promoting safe, healthy communities.
🔹 HIV Prevention: What Everyone Should Know
• Get tested regularly — knowing your status is the first step to protection.
• Use protection correctly and consistently during sexual activity.
• Choose safer options such as PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) for high-risk individuals.
• Avoid sharing needles or sharp instruments.
• Encourage early treatment — Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) helps people with HIV live long and healthy lives.
🔹 Ending Stigma: Our Shared Responsibility
Stigma and discrimination prevent people from seeking testing, treatment, and support.
We must:
• Treat everyone with dignity and compassion.
• Share accurate information — HIV cannot be transmitted through touch, sharing food, or casual contact.
• Support individuals living with HIV without judgment.
• Speak out against harmful myths and stereotypes.
🔹 HEG’s Commitment
Help Extension Group continues to:
✔ Provide awareness campaigns in communities and schools
✔ Promote voluntary testing and counseling
✔ Advocate for equal rights and non-discrimination
✔ Support affected families through outreach programs
❤️ Together, We Can Prevent HIV and End Stigma
When communities stand together, lives are saved, hope is restored, and everyone can live free from fear and discrimination.
