🌍♻️ Today, 22 May 2026, in commemoration of the International Day for Biological Diversity, The Legacy Action and Royal Development Initiatives (LARDIN) proudly participated in activities organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment, Nature Protection and Sustainable Development (MINEPDED), alongside partner CSOs including FOREP and GOOFIRM, at the Limbe Botanical Garden.

The clean-up campaign focused on waste collection and plastic sorting, raising awareness on the urgent need to protect our ecosystems and conserve biodiversity for present and future generations.

This initiative serves as a reminder that every collective action — no matter how small — contributes to building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment for all. 🌱🌎

At LARDIN, we remain committed to empowering communities, advancing environmental sustainability, and protecting our shared future. Together, we can restore balance with nature and safeguard our planet for generations to come.

Strengthening Humanitarian Action from the Ground Up

LARDIN was honored to participate in the recent Area Base Coordination (ABC) meeting hosted by EPDA, in collaboration with co-chairs GPA and Plan Cameroon.

Centered on the theme “Humanitarian Solidarity,” the discussions underscored a critical shift—moving from top-down interventions to grassroots-driven solutions. Empowering local communities and fostering authentic partnerships are key to building sustainable, long-term impact.

At LARDIN, we remain committed to the belief that those closest to the challenges are also closest to the solutions. Strengthening local capacity is not optional—it is essential for meaningful and lasting change.

As the Founder of The Legacy Action and Royal Development Initiatives (LARDIN), Geraldine Musi, I was honored to attend the Intimate MAFO Dress Brunch held today at The Continent DC in Washington, DC. It was truly a blast and an unforgettable experience.

I couldn’t be more proud of Ms. Kibone of Kibone NY. She is a woman crowned with beauty and brains—a rare gem and a true inspiration.

I sincerely thank her for the invitation and for bringing together women who are moving within spaces of global influence and purpose. It was a privilege to connect with such remarkable women and to share the mission and objectives of LARDIN, including our commitment to promoting quality education, health equality, and economic development for women and girls, while championing the fight against gender-based violence and advocating for environmental protection.

I also had the opportunity to learn about the signature MAFO Dress—how it came to life and its deep connection to the Bamileke culture of Cameroon. This is history in the making and a beautiful celebration of identity, culture, and legacy.

I look forward to attending future MAFO Dress events with Kibone NY.

MAFO Dress is a movement! Let us come together and celebrate our African heritage with true intention and love.

🚨 A Wake-Up Call for Our Community – Limbe Market 🚨

What you’re seeing in this video is the reality in parts of our local market in Limbe, Cameroon.

❌ Excessive trash
❌ Clogged drainage systems
❌ Stagnant, dirty water
❌ Rats moving freely where food is being sold

This is not just an environmental issue — it is a serious public health concern affecting vendors, buyers, and the entire community.

Team LARDIN is on the ground raising awareness and advocating for better waste management practices because everyone deserves a clean and safe place to buy and sell food.

đź’ˇ Change starts with all of us:
✔️ Dispose of waste properly
✔️ Keep drainage systems clear
✔️ Support community clean-up efforts
✔️ Hold each other accountable

Together, we can protect our health and restore dignity to our marketplaces.

🌍 Women in Limbe & Across Cameroon Are Leading Climate Solutions

At sunrise in Limbe, while the waves meet the shore, a powerful movement is quietly unfolding—led by women.

From cleaning plastic-choked beaches to teaching children sustainable habits, women are turning everyday actions into lasting climate solutions. 🌱

In farming communities, they are embracing climate-smart agriculture—planting diverse crops, restoring soil, and protecting food systems for future generations. Others are leading reforestation efforts, planting trees that stand as symbols of resilience and hope.

These women are not waiting for change—they are creating it. They are rising as leaders, organizing their communities, and ensuring their voices are heard from local councils to global platforms.

💡 Climate action is happening now—and women in Cameroon are at the forefront.
