The **LARDIN Team** was honored to be granted an audience with the **Mayor of Limbe I Council** to discuss our upcoming summit commemorating the **International Day of the Girl Child**. 👧🏽💪🏽

During the meeting, we shared our vision for the summit and explored opportunities for meaningful collaboration with the Council to advance initiatives that **empower girls, promote gender equality, and create opportunities for young people**.

🌍 **Transforming Waste into Resources for a Cleaner Limbe!** ♻️✨

On Monday, September 7, 2026, **The Legacy Action and Royal Development Initiatives (LARDIN)** had the honor of attending a strategic working session at the Limbe City Council Main Building in Bota.

The meeting focused on a project proposal presented by **Eco Valor Group Inc.** on sustainable **Municipal Solid Waste Management**.

Here are the key takeaways from the session:

🌱 **Waste as a Resource:** The proposed 1.1 Billion FCFA facility will process municipal waste into eco-bricks, organic fertilizers, and recycled tire products.

🏗️ **18-Month Timeline:** Construction of the processing plant is targeted for 18 months once plans are finalized.

💼 **Youth Empowerment:** The project aims to create job opportunities for local youths across the South West Region.

🤝 **Community Ownership:** The Limbe City Council proposed an equity partnership—contributing land for the site so that profits directly support city development.

🗣️ **Strong Leadership Support:** City Mayor **Paul Efome L. M. Ngale, Ph.D.**, and the Senior Divisional Officer (SDO) welcomed the initiative, highlighting the urgent need for expanded waste collection coverage and healthy competition in municipal sanitation.

She extended her sincere appreciation to Madame Esther Ashu, Divisional Delegate of Small and Medium Size Enterprises, for facilitating LARDIN’s swift action in keeping their promise for a potential partnership, by doing an Back-to-School event at the municipality! She thank the LARDIN organization for their prompt support and strong partnership made this event a resounding success. 🤝✨

To the wonderful parents: she encouraged them to guide and motivate their children to make good use of the school supplies provided, ensuring they excel and perform brilliantly in their upcoming academic school year examinations. 📚🎓
