CADEF CAMEROON is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization committed to protecting and empowering women and children through rights-based, community-led initiatives across underserved communities in Cameroon, Uganda, and Africa. Our Objectives are to;
- Improving the health of children and young people through access to primary health care including sexual and reproductive health services, safe water, and sanitation.
- Supporting children to complete a quality and inclusive primary and secondary education.
- Protecting all children and young people from all forms of violence and abuse.
- Helping adolescents become resilient to the effects of socio-economic and climate change shocks and the impact of disasters by helping them gain a sustainable livelihood. CADEF adopts an Integrated Sustainable Development Model, which works in five (5) main thematic areas:

- Environment Protection
- Health and Nutrition
- Education and protection
- Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
- Livelihood and Women’s Empowerment

🌍 **Strengthening Partnerships for Child Protection and Justice** 🌍

CADEF participated in a civil society capacity‑building workshop in Bafoussam focused on monitoring, documentation, and reporting of human rights violations.

During the workshop, our Executive Director, Elvis Nganje Ikome, had the opportunity to engage with **H.E. Marie‑Claude Harvey, High Commissioner of Canada to Cameroon**. This exchange reinforced our commitment to building strong international partnerships that advance **child protection, justice, and advocacy for vulnerable communities**.

At CADEF, we believe collaboration with diplomatic missions and international stakeholders is essential to amplify our voice and ensure accountability for human rights violations.

✨ Together, we can work towards a future where every child is protected, every community is empowered, and justice is upheld.

Through mentorship and hands-on experience, they contributed meaningfully to our mission—advancing gender equity, child protection, and youth empowerment across Cameroon.
