Prevention isn’t just an option—it’s the safest, most cost-free weapon against prostate cancer. Before it becomes a battle, let’s learn how to stop it.Before prostate cancer becomes a battle, it can be prevented—because early lifestyle choices and awareness save lives. Let’s talk about how."Improve Your Diet
People don’t completely understand the relationship between diet and prostate cancer prevention, but this will help
Reduce fat intake. Eat less trans fats and saturated fats. Focus on healthy fats such as omega-3 fatty acids from nuts, seeds and fish.
Eat more fruits and vegetables. Incorporate a wide variety of produce, including plenty of leafy greens. The antioxidant lycopene, which is plentiful in cooked or processed tomatoes, has been shown in some studies to slow the growth of prostate cancer cells. Cruciferous vegetables (e.g., broccoli and cauliflower) contain a compound called sulforaphane that may protect against cancer.
Add green tea and soy. Clinical trials have suggested that soy may lower PSA levels, and that green tea may help men who are at high risk for prostate cancer lower their risk.
Avoid charred meat. Charred meat, from frying or grilling at high temperatures, may produce a chemical compound that leads to cancer.
Maintain a Healthy Weight
Obesity can be a risk factor for developing more aggressive prostate cancer. In general, losing weight and maintaining a healthy weight as you age can help reduce your risk of cancer and many other health problems.
Get Regular Exercise
In addition to helping you achieve a healthy weight, exercise can reduce inflammation, improve immune function and fight some of the negative health effects of a sedentary lifestyle—all of which can help prevent cancer.

Hello Guys
Remember Surgery or standard radiation aren’t your only choices.”
There are other paths — like internal radiation, hormone therapy, or newer less-invasive treatments — depending on stage, health, and what you feel comfortable with.
Curious about all the options in one place? I can help you see them.
Hormone therapy: Testosterone helps prostate cancer grow. In hormone therapy, medication blocks or lowers testosterone. Some people may have their testicles removed (orchiectomy) to stop its production.
Chemotherapy. This treatment uses drugs to kill cancer cells. It may be used alone or with hormone therapy for advanced cancer. You may receive chemotherapy alone or with hormone therapy if the cancer has spread beyond your prostate.
Immunotherapy. This boosts your immune system so it can better find and fight cancer cells. It’s often used for advanced or recurring cancer (cancer that goes away but then returns).
Targeted therapy. These therapies focus on the genetic mutations that cause cancer. They work best for tumors
Focal therapy : a newer form of treatment that destroys tumor inside your prostate. Your doctor may recommend this treatment if the cancer is low risk and hasn’t spread. Many of these treatments are still considered experimental.
High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU). High-intensity sound waves generate powerful heat to kill cancer cells within your prostate.
Cryotherapy. Cold gases freeze cancer cells in your prostate, eliminating the tumor.
Laser ablation. Intense heat directed at the tumor kills cancer cells within your prostate, destroying the tumor.
Photodynamic therapy. Medications make cancer cells more sensitive to certain wavelengths of light.the doctor exposes cancer cells to these light wavelengths, killing the cancer cells.
Prostate cancer awareness let's meet tomorrow I'll be sharing preventive tips that could change lives. Stay tuned — your future self will thank you.”

On today’s edition of our Prostate Cancer Awareness Series, we continue exploring treatment options — and trust me, today’s conversation is a big one. When the word “cancer” meets the word “treatment,” many hearts beat faster — fear, uncertainty, and hope all sit in the same room.
💭 But what if the right choice brings not just survival, but quality of life ?
Stay with us as we dive into Surgery and Radiation Therapy — two powerful treatment paths that have changed thousands of lives. Let’s understand what they are, when they are used, and what every man and family should know before deciding.
SURGERY
a) Radical Prostatectomy is the surgical removal of the prostate, seminal vesicles and nearby tissues. here we have two main types:
I) Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy (RALP): in this procedure five very small incision ( cut) are made in the lower abdomen through which instruments and small camera are guided to allow the surgeon access to the prostate.this is the most common surgery done today.
ii) Perineal Open Radical Prostatectomy: involves the removal of the prostate through a cut between the a**s and the sc***um avoiding complex veins of the pelvis hence bleeding is rare
iii) Retropubic Open Radical Prostatectomy: the surgeon makes a cut in your belly and remove the prostate through this opening
2) RADIATION THERAPY
involves high energy rays that target and kills cancer cells ..we have two main types
I) External Beam Radiation Therapy: procedure involves a small amount of targeted photon beam (x-ray) been delivered daily in doses from the outside to the prostate for over a number of weeks.
ii) Cryotherapy: a procedure involving the freezing of the prostate gland hence killing cancer cells using a specialized needle called cryoprobes guided by an ultrasound to direct the process ..Today we explored surgery and radiation — powerful tools in the fight against prostate cancer. But the journey doesn’t end here. Join us tomorrow for more options

Prostate cancer awareness
Hello guys
Remember yesterday I told you that a diagnosis of prostate cancer — though scary — can also be the beginning of hope, clarity and a real chance at a healthy future?”
Because for many men, prostate cancer is not a life sentence. Thanks to advances in medicine, there are now several treatment paths that could lead to a full, active life.
So in this post we’ll explore some of the main treatment options for prostate cancer — so you know what your choices are, what to ask your doctor, and how to make the decision that fits you or your loved one best. Before treatment is done certain criteria's and options are looked into
1) the stage and grade of the cancer( Gleason score and TNM stage )
2) your risk category ( wether the cancer is low, intermediate or high risk cancer
3) your age and health status
4) your preference about side effects and long time effects of treatment
5) Treatment goal
6) Results from other diagnostic test.
TREATMENT
1)Active surveillance this is best if you have a small and slow growing cancer.here the doctor will check your prostate cancer by asking you to run blood tests every few months to check a protein in your blood called PSA( prostates specific Antigen) levels ( only the prostate and prostate cancer produces PSA) .
This is advantageous as it avoids urinary, sexual and bowels side effects
2) Watchful Waiting:
Here prostate cancer is tracked without treating it that is involving no blood test or biopsy done as in active surveillance.this is done for men with early stage of prostate cancer who are too old and likely to die of other causes or men with health issues that will make it difficult to undergo surgery, Chemotherapy,or radiation therapy etc
Today we learned that sometimes the best action is careful watching—but tomorrow at 8pm we step into the world of bold action. Surgery and radiation therapy—what do they involve, and who truly needs them? you can't afford to miss

Prostate cancer awareness
Hello guys imagine being told you have prostate cancer — and suddenly a thousand questions crash in at once. Is it early? Is it advanced? What are my chances? What happens next?
The truth is, not all prostate cancers are the same. Some grow so slow your they may never cause harm, while others are more aggressive and require immediate treatment.
Understanding how doctors “stage” and “grade” prostate cancer is like understanding the map before taking the journey. It shows where the cancer is, how serious it is, and which treatment path is safest and most effective.
So today, before we talk treatment, let’s decode the language of staging and grading—because the more you understand the disease, the more power you have to fight it.
Stay with me this is the knowledge every man and every family should have.
Staging and Grading
The stages are define by how much and how quickly the cancer cells are growing
Stages are define by Gleason score and TNM score ( T-tumor , N- node and M- metastasis)
Gleason score
Here once cancer is found through biopsy the doctor gives its grading using the Gleason grading system which measures how quickly the cancer cells grow and affect other tissue,as this will help determine if the cancer is low- intermediate or high risk and will help determine treatment.
Generally Gleason score of 6 are treated as low risk cancer 7 - intermediate cancer and 8- high risk cancers
STAGING
Here the Tumor, node and metastasis ( TNM) is used to measure how far the prostate cancer has spread in the body
T( tumor scores rates the size and extent of the original tumor
The N( node) rates wether the cancer cells have spread to the lymph nodes
The M( metastasis) rates wether the cancer has spread to distant sites. Now that we understand how prostate cancer is graded and staged , tomorrow at 7pm we answer the question everyone wants to know - how is it treated? it's the part that brings clarity confidence and hope.Dont miss it
