Today, SAFE HANDS Association proudly stood with the world to say NO to child abuse, NO to sexual harassment, NO to molestation, and NO to the killing of our children. 🚫

Our peaceful march in was a strong call for justice and protection for every child. It is heartbreaking that we continue to record increasing cases of children being abused, r***d, and even killed. There is absolutely no justification for r**e. R**e is a crime. NO means NO. Enough is enough.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the vision bearer Ulanda for this important initiative. Special thanks to Loic Sumfor , BlackCoco , Aura Foundation Helps , Mother Hen Foundation , and Miki Foundation for standing together in this fight to protect our children.

We also appreciate our dedicated volunteers Kathia Andine Fohtung and Nanyongo Kj Nayongo who represented Hands Association during this march. Your commitment to protecting children in our community is truly inspiring. 🙏

Together, we will continue to raise our voices until every child is safe.

SAFE HANDS Association had the privilege of joining &H Foundation in an Anaemia Screening Campaign under the theme “Screen, Treat, Thrive Against Anaemia.” ❤️🩸
Anaemia remains a serious health concern, especially for PREGNANT women, as it can increase the risk of fatigue, complications during pregnancy, premature birth, and low birth weight. Early screening helps detect low haemoglobin levels and allows timely treatment through proper nutrition, iron supplementation, and medical care.
Together, through awareness, screening, and treatment, we can protect the health of women and build healthier communities. 💙

Today, as the world commemorates World Water Day, SAFE HANDS Association joins the global community in highlighting the importance of water in building a fair and healthy society.

This year’s theme, “Water and Gender – Where Water Flows, Equality Grows,” reminds us that access to clean water is not just a basic need but also a matter of dignity, opportunity, and equality. In many communities, women and girls bear the greatest responsibility for fetching water, which often affects their health, education, and economic opportunities.

At Hands Association, we remain committed to promoting community awareness, supporting vulnerable populations, and advocating for sustainable water access for all. When communities have safe and reliable water, families stay healthier, girls stay in school, and equality has a chance to grow.

💧 Water is life. Water is dignity. Water is equality.

Yesterday , SAFE HANDS Association in partnership with the Margaret Asah Initiative marked the with a cervical cancer awareness Program at Government High School Bonadikombo Mile 4 Limbe. We had the opportunity to talk to the students and share life-saving information on one of the most preventable cancers affecting women. We sensitized the students on the main cause of cervical cancer which is the Human Papilloma Virus ( ), a very common virus that can be transmitted through sexual in*******se. Many people carry HPV without knowing it, which is why awareness, vaccination, and regular screening are so important.

We also talked about prevention methods, including:
• HPV vaccination, recommended for girls from 9–14 years before exposure to the virus
The importance of screening through Pap smears and HPV testing, especially for women from 21 years and above.
Early detection can identify abnormal cells before they develop into cancer, making treatment highly effective.

We wish to use this opportunity to appreciate the administration of Government High School Bonadikombo Mile 4 for the warm reception, and we celebrate our partners and volunteers who made this outreach impactful.

We were able to reach out to over 200 students and 20 teachers who were present.

Together, we can end cervical cancer through awareness, vaccination, and screening.

January is , a time to remind women and communities that cervical cancer is preventable and treatable when detected early.

Many cases are caused by the Papillomavirus ( ), making the HPV vaccine a powerful tool in protecting girls and young women before exposure.

Regular cervical cancer screening helps detect early changes before they become life-threatening, improving survival and quality of life.

Awareness empowers women to take charge of their health, seek timely screening, and encourage vaccination for younger girls.
