We seek to empower individuals for full responsibility in nation building. We strive for a healthy environment and humanity. The Women’s Environment and Social Development Association (WESDA), was inspired by the existing laws of the government of Cameroon, which seek to empower individuals to assure full responsibility in nation building, and the noisy confusions surrounding human existence, WESD
A was created to culture and redirect the lapses affecting our communities. This is in defense of the principles of globalization and sustainable development. WESDA is involved in the following activities:
• Rural Development/Agriculture;
• Women and children education;
• Promoting the health of our environment by planting more trees;
• Organizing trainings, meetings on environment and social development;
• Donations. We believe in providing humanitarian assistance to people wherever it is needed to relieve suffering. Our purpose is to advance our core mission and vision. Our mission is to strengthen rural development planning and adopt measures for promoting better and more equitable integration of the rural sectors with the rest of the national economy. Engaging in community development initiatives, including community development, is one of our focuses. We empower communities (the most vulnerable), to envision, plan, implement, monitor and redesign their development programs. WESDA envisions a society where underprivileged groups are aware of their rights to participate in decision-making, have equal access to resources and benefits, and become self-reliant within a supportive policy environment for sustainable development in Cameroon. Ultimate Outcomes:
- Ensure healthy lives and promote the well-being of vulnerable communities;
- Ensure the lasting protection of the planet and its resources;
- End poverty and hunger;
- Achieve gender equality.
