THE JOURNEY TO A GREENER FUTURE 2024 ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION DAY.
CIVCREM-Cameroon on the 26th January 2024 celebrated the World Environmental education day. This was in a high level round table discussion organized by WECMA in partnership with CAMGEW. The event was attended by 9 environmental intervening organizations and 6 teachers drawn from schools in the Bamenda highlands forest area. The comes at a time the Bamenda highlands forest area is is under going on a series threat land degradation, illegal exploitation of forest resources, poaching of wildlife resources bush fire and pollution are on a rise. There is a great need for environmental education in schools and the local community. Thus the saying act locally, think globally

CIVCREM-Cameroon join globe to celebrates World AIDS day in Bamenda on the 01/12/23
This s year the world commemorated it under the theme “let the communities lead”. CIVCREM-Cameroon and the pupils of the partner school had a colorful event with many slogans such as “End stigma to persons living with AIDS, Promotes prevention and support those with HIV/ AIDS, Spread love not stigma to those with HIV AIDS’’

CIVCREM-Cameroon celebrates international day of the girl child in Bamenda on the 12/10/23
• This year the world commemorated it under the theme “invest in girls rights, our leadership, our well -being”. CIVCREM-Cameroon visited 2 schools and discuss with girls on their rights, how to become great leaders tomorrow and what to do to improve their well-being. It was a colorful event as these girls went home exceptionally happy because this is their first time to know that the world celebrates young girls.

“CIVCREM-Cameroon was one among the NGOs who actively participated in the inauguration of the CAEPA project ‘Strengthening Women’s Voices in Disaster Risk Governance in Bamenda City’ project. This was part of the journey to empower and uplift the voices of women in our community, ensuring their active participation in disaster risk management and governance.
