La Fondation ACOHOF à la Réunion Nationale de la PROCEFFA - 2025
La Fondation Afoni Children of Hope (ACOHOF) a activement participé à la Réunion nationale 2025 de la Plateforme pour la Promotion des Écoles Familiales Agricoles au Cameroun (PROCEFFA), un réseau de Centres de Formation Professionnelle (CFP). Cet événement important, qui s'est déroulé à l'hôtel Safari de Yaoundé, avait pour thème : "Capitaliser sur l'appui à l'insertion socio-professionnelle des jeunes de PROCEFFA : enseignements, bonnes pratiques et perspectives". La séance a été dirigée par M. Justin Afoni Njobam, vice-président du conseil d'administration de la PROCEFFA. Deux représentants d'ACOHOF étaient présents, dont le coordinateur de projet, M. Mamanur Ibinu Adamu.
Des participants de renom étaient présents, notamment le représentant de l’ambassade de Belgique au Cameroun, ainsi que des responsables de plusieurs ministères : le Ministère de l’Enseignement secondaire (MINESEC), le Ministère de l’Emploi et de la Formation professionnelle (MINEFOP), le Ministère de la Jeunesse et de l’Éducation civique (MINJEC), le Ministère de l’Agriculture et du Développement rural (MINADER), le Ministère de l’Élevage, des Pêches et des Industries animales (MINEPIA), et le Ministère des Petites et Moyennes Entreprises, de l’Économie sociale et de l’Artisanat (MINPMEESA). Des partenaires techniques tels que le Fonds National de l’Emploi (FNE), le Centre d’Information et d’Orientation Professionnelle (CIOP), l’Agence allemande de Coopération Internationale (GIZ) et l’Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement (IECD) étaient eux aussi présents.
En 2024, ACOHOF a ouvert le Collège Technique et Professionnel Bilingue d’Agriculture et d’Entrepreneuriat. Cette année, les élèves de la cinquième année anglophone se présenteront à l’examen intermédiaire de l’enseignement technique et professionnel (ITVEE), également appelé GCE technique, avant de poursuivre en première et en terminale.

ACOHOF at the PROCEFFA National Meeting 2025
The Afoni Children of Hope Foundation (ACOHOF) actively participated in the 2025 National Meeting of the Platform for the Promotion of Family Agricultural Schools in Cameroon (PROCEFFA), a network of Vocational Training Centers (CFP). This significant event took place at the Safari Hotel in Yaoundé under the theme: “Capitalizing on Support for the Socio-Professional Integration of Youths of PROCEFFA: Lessons Learned, Best Practices, and Perspectives.” The meeting was chaired by Mr. Justin A. Njobam, Vice President of the PROCEFFA Board of Directors. Representing ACOHOF were two delegates, including the Project Coordinator, Mr. Mamanur Ibinu Adamu.
The meeting was attended by distinguished participants, including the Representative of the Belgian Ambassador to Cameroon, as well as officials from various ministries: the Ministry of Secondary Education (MINESEC), the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training (MINEFOP), the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education (MINJEC), the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MINADER), the Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries, and Animal Industries (MINEPIA), and the Ministry of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Social Economy, and Handicrafts (MINPMEESA). Additionally, technical partners such as the National Employment Fund (FNE), the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the Information and Vocational Guidance Counselling Center (CIOP), and the European Institute for Cooperation and Development (IECD) were also in attendance.
In 2024, we launched the ACOHOF Bilingual Technical and Vocational College of Agriculture and Entrepreneurship. This year, several students will be sitting for the Intermediate Technical and Vocational Education Examination (ITVEE), also known as the Technical GCE, as we work towards establishing a high school.

Projects and Grants Writer with a Background in Accounting
We are seeking a highly qualified Projects and Grants Writer with a strong background in accounting and proficiency in Microsoft Excel to join our team at the Bafoussam office. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying, preparing, and submitting project proposals that align with the objectives of our organization and the ACOHOF Vocational Boarding School.
The successful applicant will also be tasked with establishing strategic partnerships, pursuing and securing funding opportunities for new initiatives, and ensuring the sustainability of our projects even in the absence of funding. Additionally, the Officer will oversee compliance with reporting requirements and deadlines as stipulated by our partners.

The Afoni Children of Hope Foundation (ACOHOF) successfully launched the first phase of "The Let's Connect Project" at the ACOHOF Family Farm School from September 21 to 23, 2025, to our Pioneer Mentors. This initiative was made possible through the generous financial support of VIA Don Bosco, which played a key role in funding the project, along with technical supervision from the Platform for the Promotion of Family Farm Schools in Cameroon (PROCEFFA).

The training provided to selected students equipped them with the skills and confidence necessary to mentor younger peers and assume leadership roles within their schools. These students, primarily from Levels Two and Three and Form Four at the ACOHOF Bilingual Technical and Vocational College of Agriculture and Entrepreneurship, were given the opportunity to develop as leaders, support one another, and contribute to building a stronger future for their communities. Through mentorship, they were empowered to guide their peers, share knowledge, and inspire positive change throughout Bankim, a community to which we all proudly belong.

During the training, several interactive sessions helped these young mentors learn how to be role models, improve their communication skills, and motivate their peers. Although their journey is just beginning, they are already moving forward with courage and vision, inspiring hope for the future.

We sincerely appreciate the expertise of Mme. Ernestine Leikeki Sevidzem from CAMGEW, who facilitated the sessions and shared her valuable experience with the program. Her commitment and knowledge have been essential to the success of our project.

Finally, we extend our heartfelt thanks to VIA Don Bosco and PROCEFFA for their financial and technical support in this mission to establish a mentorship model that empowers young people and creates a lasting impact in Bankim. Their support has been invaluable, and we are deeply grateful for their partnership.

This week, we had the privilege of hosting Ms. Eliza Lorenzoni, the Project Coach of VIA Don Bosco, and Mr. Barka Honoré, the Executive Director of the Platform for the Promotion of Family Farm Schools (PROCEFFA), who are important financial and technical partners of ours. Their visit to the ACOHOF Family Farm School from Sunday to Tuesday provided a valuable chance for reflection and growth. The primary objective of their visit was to evaluate the progress of our 2022–2026 program, and we are pleased to announce that it was highly successful. Notably, our partners expressed their satisfaction and offered valuable suggestions on areas that needed improvement and ways to further develop the institution. During their tour of our facilities, they recognized the significant investments made by the Afoni Children of Hope Foundation (ACOHOF) in Bankim, acknowledging these efforts as essential for improving educational opportunities for vulnerable children.
The ACOHOF Family Farm School was originally established in Tatum in 2014, but operations were halted and eventually suspended when the ongoing crisis began three years later. However, we resumed activities in Bankim in 2020, nearly three years afterward. Initially, we operated from rented spaces in a community hall in Dieki village, but we are proud to say that the school has since grown substantially. This progress is reflected in the fact that the school now operates from its own premises in Bankim town, and, by God’s grace, we have also founded the ACOHOF Bilingual Technical and Vocational College of Agriculture and Entrepreneurship. This transformative journey has opened new opportunities for impoverished and displaced children across Bankim and the broader Adamawa region.
We sincerely thank VIA Don Bosco and PROCEFFA for their support and look forward to continuing our partnership to empower children and youth through agriculture, entrepreneurship, and life skills. Education, dignity, and hope remain at the heart of our mission as we move ahead.

ACOHOF Receives Vehicle Support to Boost Community Impact
On July 22, 2025, at the Baptist Center in Nkwen-Bamenda, ACOHOF proudly joined other partner organizations for the official handing over ceremony of vehicles donated by MIVA Netherlands through the Liliane Foundation and the EDID Program of the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services (CBCHS).
Our very own Toyota Hilux, which has been at the heart of our mission in Bankim for almost a year, was officially handed over-and what a journey it has already had! From saving lives in health emergencies, transporting students for internships, delivering clean water filters to remote communities, to distributing food and school supplies to displaced and vulnerable children-this vehicle has gone far beyond transport. It has become a symbol of hope and transformation.
We say a heartfelt THANK YOU to MIVA Netherlands, the Liliane Foundation, the CBCHS EDID Program, and all partners who made this possible. The road ahead is still long, but with your support, we keep moving-one kilometer, one child, one life at a time.
