International Women’s Day 2026
To our Valued Partners, Local Authorities, and Community Leaders,
On behalf of WODDI Cameroon (Women Development Driven Initiative), I am writing to formally address you on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026. As an organization dedicated to community development and the advancement of women's rights, we recognize this day as both a celebration of progress and a solemn call to action.
This year, our advocacy is guided by the theme: “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”. We celebrate the strength, courage, and achievements of the women who serve as the foundation of our communities. However, our mission remains incomplete while systemic barriers and violence continue to threaten the lives and dignity of women in Cameroon.
A Formal Call to Advocacy: STOP FEMINICIDE IN CAMEROON
WODDI Cameroon issues this formal appeal to all stakeholders to unite under a singular, urgent mandate: Stop Feminicide in Cameroon. We believe that every woman deserves the fundamental right to live a life free from violence, fear, and discrimination.
To achieve this, we urge your esteemed office and organization to collaborate with us to:
Stand Up against all forms of gender-based injustice within our judicial and social systems.
Speak Out to break the silence and stigma surrounding violence against women.
Protect and value the lives of women by implementing and enforcing robust safety measures in our communities.
Empower the next generation of girls through targeted education and leadership initiatives.
