International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Today, we celebrate the strength, creativity, and resilience of persons with disabilities around the world.
This year’s theme “Innovation for Inclusion, Building Inclusive Communities Together” reminds us that true progress happens when EVERYONE is included.

At the heart of inclusion is innovation:
* New ideas that break barriers
*Partnerships that uplift voices
* Communities that welcome, include, respect, and empower ALL people

Let’s continue working hand in hand to create a world where children, women, and persons with disabilities are not just supported, but fully included, valued, and given equal opportunities to thrive.

Together, we can build inclusive communities where no one is left behind. 💙♿

🌍 On this World Polio Day – Honoring Strength, Courage, and Hope💜

Today, on World Polio Day, we celebrate the incredible resilience of those who have turned challenges into triumphs — and we dedicate this day to Lilian Dibo Eyong, CEO and Founder of Lilian DIBO Foundation, a true symbol of courage and determination. 💪✨

Lilian’s journey reminds us that disability does not define one’s destiny — purpose, passion, and perseverance do. She continues to inspire countless people through her unwavering strength, leadership, and advocacy for inclusion and accessibility.

Polio may have changed her path, but it did not stop her light from shining. 🌟 Her story teaches us that every setback can be a setup for something greater — for impact, for change, and for inspiring others to rise above limitations.

As we commemorate this day, let’s join hands to:
✅ Raise awareness about polio prevention and vaccination.
✅ Support inclusion and empowerment for all persons with disabilities.
✅ Continue the fight for a world free from polio — and full of opportunity for everyone.

💜 To Lilian Dibo Eyong — your courage moves mountains, your voice inspires nations, and your story ignites hope.

Today, we come together to celebrate the Day of the African Child. A day that reminds us of your strength, your dreams, and your rights.

In partnership with , this year, we focus on something very important: Planning and Budgeting for Children's Rights.

Every child, whether they walk, roll, hear with their ears or through sign language, speak with their voice or with gestures, walk with both legs or other mobility assistive devices, deserves love, learning, and respect. No child should be left behind irrespective of their disability.

We call on all private and state stakeholders to be intentionally inclusive when providing public or private services that benefit children. State and private Contractors Must take disability inclusion into proper consideration. Leave no one behind.

Dear children,
Dear children, we are all different. But those differences make us special. When we play together, learn together, and care for each other, we build a stronger and kinder world.

To every child living with a disability: You belong. You matter. You have a right to be heard and seen. Your ideas, your talents, and your dreams are important to us all.

And to every child out there, Be a friend. Be kind. Include others. Let us create environments and communities where everyone feels safe, welcomed, and supported.

Together, let’s build an Africa where every child can shine, no matter their ability.

Thank you, and happy Day of the African Child!

In preparation for the celebration of the Day of the African Child, in partnership with the Delegation of Social Affairs, Kumba, the Adolescent Lead Girl of Lilian Dibo Foundation trained children on how to make peanuts from start to finish. Life skills development and economic empowerment for sustainability has always been one of our major thematic areas. Inculcate positive and productive mindset in children and watch them change their communities and inspire their peers.
