nous renforçons nos actions pour un océan plus sain.
Entre acquisition de nouvelles compétences et engagement pour la conservation, chaque plongée nous rapproche d’un avenir durable pour la vie marine. 🌿🤿

As the world battles growing environmental challenges, our aquatic biodiversity is in a state of crisis. From pollution to climate change, the vibrant marine life and precious ecosystems in Cameroon are at risk. But here’s the truth, it’s not too late to change the course.

At AQUAMEN Cameroon, we believe that action starts with awareness. Every small step taken towards reducing plastic waste, supporting local conservation efforts, and engaging in sustainable fishing practices helps restore the balance in our oceans, rivers, and lakes.

🌱 What’s at stake?
- Marine species like sea turtles, manatees, and fish depend on our healthy waters to survive.
- Coastal communities rely on these ecosystems for their livelihoods.

What can we do?
✅ Say no to single-use plastics.
✅ Educate our communities about the importance of marine conservation.
✅ Support policies and practices that protect aquatic life.
It’s time we stop looking at nature as something to be used and start seeing it as something to be protected. The health of our oceans and rivers depends on us and every effort counts.

Over 240,000 marine species face danger from pollution, with plastic waste creating a 7th continent in our oceans.

🌊 Explore the Coastal and Marine Wonders of Cameroon! 🏔️

Did you know that Cameroon boasts breathtaking landscapes divided by the majestic Mount Cameroon and Mount Bioko? These natural landmarks frame our rich coastlines, where significant rivers such as Moungo, Wouri, Dibamba, Sanaga, Nyong, Lokoundje, Kienké, Lobé, and Ntem flow into the sea, enhancing the beauty and biodiversity of our marine environment.

🎉 Journée Internationale des Droits des Femmes – 8 Mars 2025 🎉

Chez AQUAMEN, nous croyons en la puissance des femmes pour protéger notre patrimoine naturel! 🌍💪

À l’occasion du 8 Mars, nous mettons en lumière nos Héroïnes de la Conservation qui œuvrent quotidiennement pour préserver les espèces menacées et les habitats fragiles des zones humides et marines camerounaises.

👉 Découvrez leurs actions lors du récent événement organisé par notre partenaire African Marine Mammal Conservation Organization - AMMCO :

- Sensibilisation des participants sur l'importance de conserver le milieu marin pour le bien être de l'Homme.
- Présenter les différents bassins versants hydrologique de la côte camerounaise avec leur valeur et les menaces qui pèsent sur elles.
- Éducation sur les actions à entreprendre pour maintenir les services écosystémiques que nous offres l'écosystème marin et côtier.

Un grand bravo à Hilary et Danielle (nos volontaires) pour leur engagement sans faille! 🌊🐋

Ensemble, elles prouvent que la conservation de la biodiversité n’a pas de genre… mais a besoin de toutes les mains! 💚
