Assprodec-Association for the Promotion of Decent Work for Women and Girls celebrates the strength, resilience, and invaluable contributions of workers everywhere—especially the women and girls whose labor often goes unseen, undervalued, and underprotected.

Our mission remains clear and urgent: to promote work for women and girls. Work that is safe, fairly paid, dignified, and free from exploitation. In line with this year’s Labor Day theme, we reaffirm our commitment to advocating for inclusive opportunities, equal rights, and environments where every woman and girl can thrive, lead, and earn with dignity.

Decent work is not a privilege—it is a right. And empowering women economically is key to building stronger families, communities, and nations.

As we celebrate, let us also reflect, act, and commit to creating a future where no woman or girl is left behind in the world of work.

Happy Labor Day!

Today we celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of women everywhere.

This year’s theme, “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”, reminds us of the need to ensure that every woman and girl has the opportunity to thrive and lead.

It connects perfectly with the slogan “Give to Gain – When we give, we gain,” highlighting that when we invest in women and uplift one another, our communities and societies grow stronger.

At ASSPRODEC, we remain committed to supporting and empowering women across our communities.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the incredible women of ASSPRODEC!

On 6th March 2026 in Yaoundé, we celebrated the end of the first training cohort of ASSPRODEC’s Buyam Sellam STEM School.

In a colorful ceremony, the inaugural cohort of 40 women received their end-of-training certificates after completing weeks of practical learning focused on using simple technology to strengthen their businesses.

The event brought together the women trainees, their families, our financial partner Goodwill Financial House, and the National Association of Buyam Sellam, represented by its National President.

Together, we reflected on how women farmers and Buyam Sellam traders can continue feeding our communities while also building stronger businesses, increasing their income, and living with dignity and protection.

This is only the beginning.
