L'Expert Bachirou Njoya S'Envole pour l'Inde
L'Ingénieur Bachirou Njoya, éminent expert en patrimoine culturel immatériel et ancien représentant du groupe des ONG Africaines auprès de l'UNESCO, a quitté le Cameroun, sa terre natale, pour l'Inde. Il y participe à la 20e session du Comité Intergouvernemental pour la sauvegarde du patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’UNESCO.
Ce déplacement s'inscrit dans un contexte particulièrement dynamique pour le Cameroun, dont les efforts pour la sauvegarde du Patrimoine Culturel Immatériel (PCI) portent leurs fruits. Ces dernières années ont été marquées par des succès notables, dont la récente inscription du Ngondo, culte des oracles de l'eau et traditions culturelles associées chez les Sawa, lors de la 19e session de ce même comité. Le pays s'illustre également par l'adoption de stratégies nouvelles, notamment les candidatures multinationales (comme le Mvet Oyeng et le Guruna), soulignant la dimension transfrontalière de son riche héritage.
À son départ, l'Ing. Bachirou Njoya a livré un message fort :
« Je m’envole pour L’Inde, au pays de Mahamat Ghandi, pour une rencontre mondiale afin de discuter sur des questions liées à la sauvegarde du patrimoine culturel immatériel. »
Son expertise sera précieuse pour ces discussions cruciales, renforçant la voix de l'Afrique et l'engagement du Cameroun sur la scène internationale de la culture.

Expert Bachirou Njoya Flies to India
Engineer Bachirou Njoya, a prominent cultural heritage expert and former representative of the Group of African ICH - NGOs at UNESCO, has departed his native Cameroon for India. He is attending the 20th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO.
This trip takes place in a particularly dynamic context for Cameroon, whose efforts to safeguard its Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) are yielding results. Recent years have been marked by notable successes, including the recent inscription of The Ngondo, cult of the water oracles and associated cultural traditions of the Sawa people, during the 19th session of the same committee.
The country is also distinguishing itself by adopting new strategies, notably multinational candidacies (such as the Mvet Oyeng and the Guruna), highlighting the cross-border dimension of its rich heritage.
Upon his departure, Eng. Bachirou Njoya delivered a strong message:
‘ I am flying to India, the land of Mahamat Grandi, for a global meeting to discuss issues related to the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage."
His expertise will be invaluable for these crucial discussions, strengthening the voice of Africa and Cameroon's commitment on the international cultural stage.
