📢 CALL FOR PAPERS | SPECIAL ISSUE

At a time when Africa is redefining its place in a rapidly changing global order, the production, ownership, and mobilization of African knowledge have become strategic imperatives for the continent's future.

The Pan African Journal of Applied Development Sciences (PAJADS) invites scholars, researchers, policymakers, traditional authorities, development practitioners, and intellectual leaders to contribute to a landmark special issue:

**THE REIGN OF KING MSWATI III (1986–2026): Comparative Perspectives on Monarchy, Governance, and Traditional Authority in Africa**

Beyond commemorating four decades of leadership in the Kingdom of Eswatini, this special issue seeks to stimulate critical Pan-African scholarship on the role of indigenous institutions, traditional governance systems, cultural sovereignty, and African-centred development pathways in the twenty-first century.

We particularly welcome contributions that challenge intellectual dependency, advance evidence-based African policy thinking, and contribute to the resurgence of Africa's own knowledge systems as foundations for governance, peacebuilding, climate resilience, social transformation, and sustainable development.

This edition is part of a broader continental effort to strengthen Africa's knowledge economy by promoting rigorous scholarship that informs policy, shapes institutions, and reclaims African agency in defining the continent's developmental future.

As Pan-Africanists, scholars, and practitioners, we have a collective responsibility not merely to study Africa, but to produce the ideas, evidence, and intellectual frameworks that will guide Africa's renaissance.

🗓 Abstract Submission Deadline: 30 September 2026

Join us in advancing a new generation of African scholarship, rooted in African realities, informed by African experiences, and committed to African transformation.
