And he got 9papers

Today, we celebrate Miracle, one of our youngest volunteers, who has successfully passed the Cameroon General Certificate of Education(GCE) Ordinary Level with 9 papers.

Miracle joined ACT Foundation at a young age, learned practical ICT skills, and soon began using his knowledge to teach and guide others. Now, we are proud to see him carry that same confidence into the national examination and succeed.

His story reminds us why early exposure matters. When young people are given the right opportunities, they find their voice, build confidence, and learn to create impact.

This is why we go into orphanages and communities to equip children with practical skills and opportunities for a better future.

A proud moment for ACT Foundation ❤️

Today, we celebrate Might, one of our own dear volunteers, on receiving a fully funded Mastercard Foundation Scholarship to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Radiography at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.

For over two years, Might has served ACT Foundation with commitment and purpose. As our Regional Coordinator for Bafoussam, he played an active role in advancing our skills empowerment programs.

Might also led training sessions at two orphanages, teaching children basic ICT skills and piano lessons. His service reminds us of something important: education becomes even more meaningful when we use what we learn to empower others.

This scholarship is more than an academic opportunity. It is recognition of years of service, learning, leadership and community impact.

We are proud of you, Might. Your journey is proof that when young people are given opportunities to learn, serve and lead, they become a source of opportunity for others.

ACT Foundation’s Bamenda Team recently visited Solidarity Orphanage to assess the home, engage with the children and matron, and discuss strategies for our upcoming skills empowerment programs.

Five dedicated volunteers showed up and spent quality time with the children and the matron. They listened, shared ideas, and gained a better understanding of the needs of the home.

The team also shared signature fruits with the children, who gave them a warm and joyful welcome. ❤️

Three children from the Good Shepherd Orphanage ,Abangoh ,Bamenda Cameroon have successfully completed a one month Foundation Course in Electricity and Solar Energy at Solar Bright Future Company Ltd.

Today, they proudly received their certificates alongside 20 other graduates, marking the beginning of new possibilities. They leave with practical skills, greater confidence, and a stronger foundation for the future.

At ACT Foundation, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream beyond their circumstances. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do.

Through Foundation, three children from the Good Shepherd Orphanage are currently in their third week of a one month intensive solar energy training with Energy Future. This opportunity reflects our commitment to equipping vulnerable children, especially those in orphanages, with practical skills that create pathways to independence and a brighter future.

Our sincere appreciation goes to Brother Praisely, whose support made this possible. Every act of generosity creates opportunities that change lives.

You too can be part of this mission. Your support helps more children gain valuable skills, both through specialized training opportunities like this and through the hands on programs ACT Foundation delivers directly in orphanage homes.

Every skill learned opens a new door.

In this short testimony, one of our beneficiaries from our orphanage ICT training program shares what she has learned through the ACT Foundation. Meet Bright.

After completing the ACT Foundation ICT Training Program, Bright can now create report cards using Excel, design presentations with PowerPoint, and produce professional graphics with Canva.

What seems like a simple skill today can become a life changing opportunity tomorrow.

Digital literacy equips young people with practical skills for school, work, and entrepreneurship. For underprivileged children, these skills create pathways to learning, confidence, and future opportunities.

Yesterday, as part of our annual tradition, the ACT Foundation joined the graduation ceremony and closing assembly of Redeemer Nursery and Primary School, Abangoh, the home school of the children from Good Shepherd Orphanage, Abangoh.

It was a moment of joy, pride, and hope as we recognized and rewarded outstanding pupils for their hard work and dedication throughout the academic year. Prizes were awarded to the best-performing pupils in each class, while special awards were given for punctuality, good conduct, and moral excellence.

These prizes represent far more than books, certificates, or gifts. They are symbols of encouragement. They tell every child that hard work matters, discipline is valuable, and good character is worth celebrating.

To the learners, these awards remind them that excellence opens doors and that every effort counts. To the teachers, they serve as a recognition of the countless hours invested in nurturing young minds and shaping future leaders.

At ACT Foundation, we believe that when a child is encouraged, a dream is strengthened. When excellence is celebrated, others are inspired to rise.
