Tic-Tac Claude's thoughts To build a world where our thoughts are turned into realities.

Raising up kids is not an easy job especially in a continent called Africa and a country called Cameron. I still have not understood how our parents managed to keep us on the lane back then, we did all we did but we still had at the back of our minds that our parents would deal with us especially our mothers.
I wonder what has happened? What had changed over the years? Our little ones no longer have respect!! Nor fear!! Nor what do I even say!!
So many questions come up, is it that the parents no longer discipline their children? Is that the children no longer listen to their parents? Is it that the system has failed? Is it that everything is becoming anything?

What really is the problem?
What really has to be done?

Summer holiday is here, and while many celebrate the break from school, I can't help but reflect on the hidden challenges that come with it, especially for our youth. They get into a challenge called : the "summer slump."
Many students and pupils find themselves devoid of structure, leading to a lack and absence in motivation and productivity. It’s not just about losing academic skills; it can have far-reaching effects on our youths and, ultimately, our country.

As a teacher, public speaker, and mentor, I've seen firsthand how unstructured summer holidays can impact students and pupils.
Here is what I think should be done ;

To prevent the lost of knowledge and for the students and pupils not to forget 9 months of studies, Organize Workshops that Provide a platforms for youths to learn new skills, Encourage Reading, Create summer reading challenges and reward students and pupils for their efforts.
Mentorship Programs, Pair students with mentors who can guide them through personal and educational challenges.
Community Projects, this will go a long way to encourage participation in local initiatives that not only help the community but also build teamwork and leadership skills.
Promote Volunteering, guide and Inspire students and pupils to give back to the community through service projects. This will help them keep busy and the pain of being idle would not be a problem to them.
Parenting guidance, all parents at this time have to increase their watch on the children because alot can happen behind them if care is not taken.
Moral Lessson: One youth kept in good hands this summer holidays equals a potential leader of Tomorrow well taken care of.

Now I Understand Why My Parents Were Silent.
😭😭😭

When I was younger , I used to wonder why my mom/dad came home some days very late without saying a word. No smile. No stories. Just silence, and a heavy walk to the room. Back then, I thought it was just tiredness. Now I know better—they were fighting battles they couldn’t explain.

They were broke but couldn't cry. 😭😭😭
They were sick but couldn't stop.
They were overwhelmed but couldn’t show weakness.
Parents don't have the luxury of falling apart, to who would they cry or run to?

The world is BRUTAL to parents. You either produce or perish, you either fight for your children or watch them become something else.
No break. No vacation. No soft landing. Just expectations.

Provide. Protect. Lead.
Even when your back is broken, and your soul is exhausted. You have to keep going for the sake of the children.

Now that I’m grown, I get it all. I get the pain they hid.
The nights they slept hungry so we wouldn’t.
The dreams they buried so we could dream freely.
The times they held their tears just so we would feel safe.

To all parent out there grinding silently—I hail you.
To all parents sacrificing their health, sleep, and peace for the children—you are the real leaders and models.
To the parents who died before they could see their children succeed—may your souls rest like warriors.

This write up is for the unseen super heroes. The parents with cracked hands, bleeding hearts, and unbreakable spirits, but yet strong enough to hold the children together.

You are not forgotten. You are not weak. You’re not invisible. We do know your worth and your place is in our hearts.

God bless our fathers.
God bless our mothers.
God strengthen our sons to be fathers .
God bless our daughters to be mothers.
And may we, always carry this legacy of being examplary parents with honor.

Did you know that one in ten girls in most rural areas in Cameroon miss school during their menstrual periods? It’s a staggering statistic that highlights a critical issue:

MENSTRUAL HYGIENE MANAGEMENT

As a teacher, mentor, and advocate, I feel compelled to raise awareness about the importance of menstrual hygiene for young girls. Here are a few key points to consider in this:

-The power of education: Educating both boys and girls about menstruation can break the stigma surrounding it. Knowledge fosters understanding and support this would greatly help the naive girl child to be comfortable in school and un the community.
- The Access to Products: Many girls lack access and provision to sanitary products. Especially as most of them are even scared of saying out what is happening to them, We must ensure they have what they need to manage their periods safely and with dignity.

- The Safe Spaces: Schools need to provide safe and private facilities for girls to manage their menstrual hygiene. This is essential for their health and education.

- The need for Community Support: We have to start Engaging local communities and councils in discussions about menstrual health this can shift mindsets and create supportive environments for girls.

- The Advocate: In order to achieve the best result, We must advocate for policies that prioritize menstrual health education and accessible products. The Change begins with us.

Protecting the naive girl child means empowering her with knowledge and resources. Together, we can break the silence and stigma. Let's join hands to ensure that no girl is left behind due to something as natural as menstruation.

Those who know how to wait… win without fighting.

They say an old dog once wandered out to chase butterflies.
No rush. No destination.
He just wanted to feel life under his paws one more time.

But between play and daydreams, he got lost and a young, hungry leopard spotted him. The dog saw the danger but didn’t run. He didn’t have the strength. But what he did have… was wisdom.

Calmly, he sat down with his back turned, started chewing on some old bones he found nearby, and said loudly: "Mmm… that leopard I just ate was delicious. I wonder if there’s another one around?"

The young leopard froze in fear and ran away.

It wasn’t strength that saved the dog.
It was intelligence.

But the story doesn’t end there.

A monkey, who had watched the whole scene from a tree, decided to betray the dog. He ran after the leopard to reveal the truth, hoping to gain protection in return.

The dog, clever as ever, saw them coming: an angry leopard with the monkey riding on his back.

This time, the dog sat down again, calm as before, and muttered:
"Where is that monkey? I sent him to fetch me another leopard, and he is taking forever…"

The leopard screeched to a halt. Glanced at the monkey.
And this time, it was the monkey who had to run.

Moral of the story:
In life, it is not always the fastest who win. Not always the strongest. Sometimes... it is the one who waits, watches, and acts with wisdom.

Because age doesn’t take your power — it teaches you how to use it better.
