Prayer is a form of Fellowship with God. Each time we Pray we communicate with the father in heaven. Prayer is very essential in our Christian work with God because through it we execute positive changes on earth thereby bringing the desire result.

The bible admonished us to pray always (Luke 18:1) and to speak with other tongues more often (1Cor 14:14-15). Prayer works wonders, a close study of the word of God, shows us how many people received Miracles and experience special testimonies as they pray. You can change any situation through prayer. With prayer you can effect changes in your life, job, family, business and any area you desire.

*If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.*

Gratefulness guarantee continuous help and supply. A person who is always grateful never run short of help or abundance. Each time you're grateful for the help done to you, you qualified yourself for the next. *(Luke 17:12-19).* No ungrateful man has a future, they always experience hardship.

They're many reasons to be grateful to God, you may not have been where you wish to be but certainly you're not where you use to be. Many are no more but you're alive and pursuing your dreams. Be grateful for the good and help people gives you. It's a good habit to always appreciate others for their positive contributions to your life and success.

Beloved being ungrateful destroy you gradually. Don't find it hard to tell people, thank you each time they help you no matter how little is the help. Everybody like to help a person who is always grateful. Don't forget your level of gratitude will determine your altitude in life and destiny.

The moment you accept Jesus as the lord of your life, the divine responsibility of spreading the gospel is handed to you by the holy spirit. Heaven expects you to play your part in the salvation of the souls of men and women *(Romans 10:14).*

Many have not yet come to the understanding that winning souls is not only the responsibilities of pastors. As a Christian you're given a part by God to save people from eternal destruction. Your part is to publish (Spread) the gospel to everyone around you.

Beloved you have a duty in advancing the kingdom of God. the prophets, the disciples and believers of old had played their part now is your turn. don't forget you're set as a watchman over the earth *(Ezekiel 33:1-9).*

THEME: *PRAY FOR THOSE IN AUTHORITY*

(1 Timothy 2:1-2Kjv)
*I exhort, therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.*
*For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.*

Scientifically, it is proven that salt has a preservative power. Jesus in *Mathew 5:13* called us the salt of the earth, meaning we are the ones to preserve the peace of our nations. God, in his abundant wisdom, has given us according to the scripture above the way to live peaceable on this earth. That is to pray for those in authority.

According to the word of God, praying for those in authority is the divine method to bring into existence good governance into the nation. Sometimes, we are fast to complain when the leaders appointed over us are not doing their jobs, we also fellow unbelievers to insults and curse them.

As a child of God, we have a divine responsibility to consistently pray for them. Don't neglect them in your prayers, or get tired of interceding for them because through your prayers, God can bring great change in that country, job, family, or assembly. You're to pray for all those in authority both from the highest rank to the lowest. Remember, the scripture says *all those in authority.*

Beloved you have a duty to pray for all in authority, stop joining others to complain about bad governance, corruption, insecurity unemployment etc, intercede for them in prayer irrespective of who they are or what they are doing. Don't forget that for you to live a quiet and peaceful life is tight to your prayers for them.

Show me your friend, and I will tell you where you will be in ten years times. This is a true statement with justifiable facts. The bible commanded us to love everyone but be selective when it's comes to friendship. Everyone can't be your friend. You're expected to make friends with people of like minds and the same goals in life.

Our opening scripture shows us that iron can only sharpen iron. Who you talk and walk with matters a lot in your destiny. Before you accept any person to be your friend, check their lifestyle, zeal, and commitment toward success. How can you be a christian and you're comfortable having unbelievers as your friends *(2 Corinthians 6:14).*

Beloved makes friends with people who believe, think, and talk the same thing like you. Choose friends who contribute to your life positively and avoid ones who influenced you negatively. Your friendship can either lift you up or bring you down.
*(1 Corinthians 15:33).* Don't forget who you will become tomorrow, depending on who you relate with today.

In every society, business, job, or family, it's only those who are productive that are respected. People prefer to employ and retain only workers who deliver good results in their field of endeavor. Even in ministry, God always prosper and promotes only ministers of the gospel that are ever bearing fruits. No one ever celebrates or keeps an unproductive worker
*(Mathew 25:15-30)*.

An unproductive worker is a reproach to the team. A man who delivers good results is preferred and given high wages. No matter how long it takes, a productive worker will end up being promoted above others. You can never be diligent and not enjoy promotion and increase *(Proverbs 22:29).*

Beloved be results oriented, stop complaining about your work, and start producing meaningful results. A diligent person is one who embraces all tasks and produces unbeatable success at the end of its all. Be the best at what you do. Allow the wisdom of God in you to manifest. Don't forget that a super productive worker is always the most preferred candidate.

*I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work..*

To succeed in business, one must seriously be committed and disciplined. Therefore a successful businessman has no relationship with distractions and lack of focus.

This was the case of Jesus when he was on earth. He approached his purpose (Reason for Living) with a business mentality (Luke 2:49). He was so focused and committed in fulfilling his purpose so much so that the hatred and insults of the pharisees and Sadducees couldn't stop him.

Beloved firstly you have to identify God's purpose for your life, then be committed in fulfilling it. Only in the pursuing and fulfilling of your purpose is there lasting prosperity and true happiness. Don't forget other people's purposes are tied in your own purpose.

(Proverbs 4:20NLT)
*My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words.*

What gets your attention automatically determines your direction. God is so much interested in getting our attention. Having divided attention is the gateway to failure. Most times, we're carried away with our intention so much so that we forget to give God our full attention.
The scripture above helps us to understand that paying attention to God is very important. Don't let your challenges take a whole of you. A lot of times, we allow the problem we're facing distract us from focusing on God. The solutions to every life challenge are found in the scriptures, and only by paying full attention to God can we see the answers *(Proverbs 4:21-23).*
Beloved gives your full attention to God's word. Don't be like Solomon, who, because of the distraction from his many wives, he starts paying attention to other gods *(1Kings 11:4-9).* Learn to come to a place where nothing can distract you from paying full attention to God and his word. God seek our attention because it's the best way he can communicate solutions to us.

This is what the Lord says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord.

A Wiseman once said The best of your strength can give you the worst in life. The easiest way to fail in life and destiny is to rely on the strength of men. Many are seriously suffering today because they focus all their plans on the promise of their father, Mother, Friends or Relatives.
Man makes promise based on how well things goes but God makes promise based on his size and capacity. We are admonished by the word of God to rely on God and his Word.
There are many people who trust in the expertise of their doctors, yet they still die, others put all their faith on the promise of "godfather or godmother" but end up crying.
Beloved today, we live in a world with an ever increasing rate of all kinds of evil occurrences. It's time to put your trust in God.
