Strengthening HIV Prevention Through Capacity Building

ICODESSE successfully completed a two-day training workshop at the Drop-In Centre (DIC) focused on building the capacity of Peer Educators and Community Care Connectors on PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis).

This training is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen HIV prevention strategies in Cameroon, equipping frontline workers with the knowledge and tools needed to make greater impact within the community.

Participants were empowered with:
• Technical knowledge on PrEP
• Interpersonal communication skills
• Practical tools for community engagement
• Strategies to promote PrEP uptake
• Guidance on adherence support
• Basic counseling techniques
• Effective linkage to care

Through this initiative, ICODESSE continues to invest in community-based solutions, ensuring that accurate information, support, and services reach those who need them most.
