WHO WE ARE:
We are a group of public health practitioners, medical doctors, student doctors and other like minds from different fields who through our experience and extensive contact with the African children have been touched by the suffering endured by them due to the vast host of diseases most of which are linked to poverty, low levels of education, malnutrition, and poor hygiene. As
members of the African community, we better understand the dynamics of this issue and are therefore in the best position to make strategic interventions and yield positive impacts in the lives of these unfortunate children. Why African children
1) Africa has one of the highest birth rates for which most of these children are a result of unplanned and often unwanted pregnancies from poor parents. Consequently, most of these kids become abandoned or neglected.
2) Most of Africa neither has a health insurance policy nor any related scheme to help bear the cost of healthcare. Consequently,very sick children often die from inability to obtain healthcare on time either due to financial difficulties or geographical exclusion.
3) Africa is almost always being faced with political instability, disasters,wars etc a situation which leads to the loss of lives of parents and the abandonment of vulnerable kids. These are our motivation for focusing our energy on the underprivileged suffering African child. However we wouldn't hesitate to extend our helping hand to the rest of the world whenever we can. OUR MISSION:
Grossly, Voice of the underprivileged suffering African child(VUSAC) targets children – Specifically orphans, sick, abused, abandoned, deprived and other groups of unfortunate children. Our outreach is unbiased and independent of political, religious, or ethnic identities of the beneficiaries. We ensure that these children get the optimum support they need to lead a normal life. Through our efforts in child survival, early education and protection, we provide children and their families with a strong foundation for the future. By transforming children’s lives now, we change the course of their future and ours. Our hope is to inspire and achieve lasting impact for millions of Africa's most vulnerable girls and boys. Our specific objectives are;
1) Assist vulnerable children obtain health care (by paying their hospital bills, providing health related supplies, and organizing free consultation and treatment programs in the most left-out communities)
2) Provide education opportunities (a tool for health) for young girls who have been marginalized for centuries in several parts of Africa
3) Provide personal needs including food ,drinking water, shelter and clothes to underprivileged children, especially in times of crisis like wars and natural disasters which are almost a constant in Africa.
5) Through our advocacy efforts provide a voice for children who cannot speak for themselves. We intend to achieve this through collaboration with related bodies and government to influence health policies in favor of the underprivileged suffering African child
WHY SUPPORT US?? We are a young non-profit organisation with foresight and goodwill to help the underprivileged suffering African children. So far, we feel very excited and privileged for having being able to assist these children from our individual pockets. However, with our limited resources our impact have only been felt by a few whereas our vision is to help as many children as possible. We are therefore very sure that through your generous donations, we will reach out to many more suffering children and together we can put a smile on their faces and give them chances to reach their full potentials. No donation is too small. Just anything can make a difference in a child's life.
