Looking Back at 2025
Stepping into 2026 with Purpose

In 2025, Thriving Mama took meaningful steps to support mothers and break the silence around perinatal mental health.

Throughout the year, we:
• Led mental health sensitization in health facilities
• Engaged mothers through education and community support
• Advocated for early recognition and care

A milestone moment
This year, we supported our first perinatal mental health emergency—standing with a young mother battling postpartum psychosis.

With a family overwhelmed, we stepped in to fund care, provide infant formula, and offer on-ground support through our dedicated volunteer, Blanche Olenge, despite challenging conditions in Cameroon.

Today
The mother is stable.
The baby is thriving.
Hope has been restored.

As we enter 2026, our commitment remains: no mother should face this journey alone.

Thank you to our volunteers, partners, and supporters.

Follow along as we continue building safer spaces for mothers.

This year, Thriving Mama org experienced one of our most humbling and defining moments , as were approached about a young mother who had been diagnosed with postpartum psychosis — a condition many families in our communities don’t fully understand and often cannot afford to treat.

Her family was overwhelmed, scared, and financially unable to get her the psychiatric care she desperately needed.
stepped in. We covered her two-month psychiatric follow-up and all her prescribed medications. Through the generosity of a few kind donors, we also provided her newborn with infant formula so the baby could remain healthy and nourished, because she could not breastfeed while on treatment
One of the most inspiring parts of this journey was the dedication of our volunteer - Blanche Olenge, who consistently checked on this family — even during the difficult political climate and ghost-town days in Cameroon. Her commitment, compassion, and courage carried this family through this time.

Today, this mother is stable, safe, and on the path to recovery.
Her baby is healthy.
And her family finally has hope again.

This is the heart of
This is why we exist.
This is why the vision was born.

To the donors who trusted us, to the volunteers who stood by this family, and to every mother battling silently — we see you, we honor you!

Social media can connect mothers, but it can also create pressure, comparison, and stress.
The key is balance: follow supportive spaces, avoid harmful content, and remember your journey is unique. 💜
Let’s use digital spaces to support, not harm.

🌙 Did you know that sleep is one of the most overlooked pillars of maternal mental health?
During pregnancy and postpartum, sleep challenges are real and can impact emotional well-being.
Let’s normalize supporting mothers to rest, because rested mothers thrive, and thriving mothers raise thriving children. 💜

Did you know? ✨

Sleep is deeply connected to perinatal mental health. Poor rest during pregnancy or postpartum can heighten risks of depression and anxiety.
💡Small steps like short naps, partner support, and calming routines can go a long way in protecting mama’s well-being.

Because, rest is not selfish it’s survival. 🌸

What we eat matters, not just for the body but for the mind too. 🌸
During pregnancy and postpartum, good nutrition supports both physical recovery and emotional resilience. From Omega-3s to iron and B vitamins, nourishing foods can play a role in lowering the risk of depression and anxiety.
💡 Remember: it’s not about eating perfectly, but about finding balance and showing yourself compassion.

✨ Because when mama thrives, the whole family thrives.

Birth doesn’t always go as planned, and for many mothers, it can leave invisible wounds. 💔

Birth trauma affects not just the body, but the mind and heart. It’s time we listen, support, and walk with mothers on their healing journey. 🌸

🌸 Perinatal mental health matters.
When mothers are supported emotionally during and after pregnancy, they can bond better with their babies, care for themselves, and nurture thriving families. 💜
Let’s break the silence, reduce stigma, and remind every mother that her mental health is essential. ✨
