The atmosphere in the room is palpable; it's one of curiosity, openness, and the breaking down of barriers.

For many young girls, these sessions are their first opportunity to openly discuss menstruation, learn about proper hygiene practices, and dispel myths and stigmas that often surround this natural bodily function.

This picture is a powerful reminder of the profound impact these initiatives have.

Let's continue to champion and support programs that bring vital menstrual health education to schools everywhere, ensuring that every young person has the knowledge and resources they need to thrive.

"After reading my first period booklet, I have acquired a wealth of knowledge about my menstrual cycle and menstrual hygiene management. Now, I feel empowered and confident in taking better care of myself," expressed by a student from St. Bernard High School Molyko during the Restore Her Dignity Campaign.

Period poverty, exacerbated by insufficient education on menstrual hygiene and limited social support, continues to be a significant issue for vulnerable women and girls in the two Anglophone Regions. Many adolescent and teenage girls are left to navigate menstruation with minimal or no guidance, leading to increased risks of teenage pregnancy, sexual violence, and infections.

In response to this pressing issue, Royalty World has been actively invested in combating period poverty and promoting menstrual hygiene through the organization and implementation of Dignity Campaigns across the nation.

It is crucial to break the taboo surrounding menstruation and encourage open conversations among women. By doing so, we can enhance their self-esteem and preserve their dignity.

We are dedicated to normalizing conversations about menstrual health.

Equiping Girls to Lead

In our communities, taboos associated with menstruation, combined with over silence around the topic limit the ability of young girls to fully and equally participate in development undermining their overall social status and self-esteem. (World Bank 2018)

United Nations Children’s Fund; UNICEF says some 1.3 million people, including around 650,000 children need some form of humanitarian assistance in the Northwest and Southwest Regions of Cameroon. Around 450,000 are internally displaced, half of whom are children.

We are part of the solution!!!

Our Goal is to restore the dignity of 1000 young female leaders, providing them with sanitary cloth pads and equipping them to treasure and manage their Menstrual and sexual reproductive health.
