“A society that knows its rights is harder to silence.”

The Cameroon Law Students Foundation (CLSF), in partnership with JCI University of Buea and the University of Buea Commonwealth Club, proudly presents a timely webinar on “Understanding Your Rights as a Citizen in Cameroon.” Featuring experienced legal experts and vocal human rights defenders, this session will address topics such as understanding your rights, police encounters, reporting abuse, and available channels participants can use to seek help and justice in cases of abuse or rights violations.

🥳🥳🥳🥳We are happy to have Participated in this workshop organized in Partnerhip with JCI University of Buea
Within the framework of Pass-it-On (PiO) to cascade knowledge from NEWSETA's REPAIR Training Series, One Peace’s Bienvenu Gaïus Saleh; a 2026 REPAIR participant organised a workshop to strengthen the capacity of youths in local governance, decision-making and peacebuilding.

The workshop also addressed some of the knowledge gaps identified in our study on youth engagement in preventing and countering violent extremism in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon published in September 2025.

The training was held in Buea and brought together 50 youths from four nationalities (Cameroon, Nigeria, Chad and Equatorial Guinea), different faiths, persons with disabilities.

We are Happy to announce that we shall be taking part at the JCI National council that will be taking place from the 11-12 April 2026 in Youande.

This is a moment for all local chapters and members of JCI to come together and get more trainings , networking as well as share their challenges and successes.

We are supposed glad to be joining our other Local chapters across the country for this very important meeting.

From 7:30 A‍M to 9:30 AM, our mem‌bers gather‌ed for a successful commu‌n‍ity⁠ clean‌up, turning commitment in‍to‌ ta‌ngible and real results. We were proud t‍o partner with one of⁠ our own, Miss to help implement⁠ her i‌mpactful project.
Together, we worked toward a shared v⁠ision of envir‌onmental protection a‍n⁠d civic responsib‍ility‌.

What is the difference between a graduate 🎓 and a graduate with experience?

This was the central question at our recent weekly meeting last week 28th, held at the University of Buea/Cultural Village. We believe that while a Degree gets you in the door, leadership, impact and community service you build now sets you apart in the professional world. Moreover, we were thrilled to host a deep orientation for our newest members. They were challenged to look beyond the surface and define their personal "Why", the fuel that will drive their journey in JCI UB.
