Over 150 Young Entrepreneurs. One Mission. Total Impact! 🌟

On Friday, February 13, 2026, ZEFA took over the MINEPAT conference hall for the second cohort of our Youth Empowerment program! We gathered over 150 young entrepreneurs of Buea, Limbe, and Tiko, aged 18–35, to master the art of Strategic Business Planning and Concept Design.

This is to prepare them for future entrepreneurial opportunities

🚪 With the recent launch of the Business Plan Competition Program of the Adaptive Safety Net and Economic Inclusion Project, the Cameroon government, through the World Bank, is offering non-refundable grants to boost sectors like: Agribusiness, Digital & Technology, Textile & Clothing, Leather, Construction, Woodworks, Metal & Steel, and Pharmaceuticals ..., operating both in the formal and informal sectors. ZEFA is here to ensure that our young entrepreneurs don't just apply, they WIN.

We invited Experts in the field to train these Entrepreneurs on different topics:

✅Dr. Asaah Gladys, The Director of Pan African Institute for Development West Africa (PAID-WA) handled the Intensive training on writing Winning Business Plans.
✅Dr.Andin Ntali, an environmentalist in the University of Buea trained on Learning to build "Green Businesses" that protect our environment.
✅Miss Ebai Blanche, the founder of GWI and a professional Speaker, trained on Pitching Techniques and Presentation skills.
✅️Mr. Anu Bryan Nkwetta , C.E.O of ZeeGo Company, trained on structuring a Compelling Concept Note that would suffice donor expectations.
✅️Mr. Fongoh Tayong, the Founder of Tech Chantier shared a talk of his entrepreneurial journey on the topic "5 Silent Killers that Destroyed My First Business."

Afterwards, a practical role play session took place and this gave participants the room to practice what they had learnt , share their business ideas and also network with one another. The conference ended on high note with participants feeling grateful and ready to take on Business challenges.

A big thank you to all facilitators of the program and to the Host and founder of Zotah Elizabeth Fussongu Foundation, Mr Nkengfac Louis.

🌍 World Humanitarian Day 2025 🌍

On the 19th of August, the Zotah Elizabeth Fossungu Association Foundation joined the global community in commemorating World Humanitarian Day at *PCSS Buea Town.

This year’s theme, “Act For Humanity,” reminds us that every action big or small brings hope, relief, and dignity to those in need.

To make the day both memorable and engaging, we also organized fun activities such as the egg-and-spoon race, sack race, tug of war, and a football match, which brought joy, unity, and laughter to the celebration. 🎉⚽

🤝 Together, we stand in solidarity with humanitarians worldwide and remain committed to serving vulnerable communities.

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day
"Respect, Protect, and Empower Our Seniors"

"They carried us when we were weak... Now we abandon them when they need us most."

Too often, elderly parents are treated like a burden neglected, insulted, or even discarded by the very children they raised with love.

This June 15, we raise our voices for those who have been silenced in their old age.
No parent deserves to be treated like trash.

Let’s honor, not harm.
Let’s protect, not neglect.
Let’s care for the hands that once fed us.

🕊 Today, June 4, we stand for the voiceless.
On this International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, we remember and honor millions of children around the world who suffer from the horrors of war, violence, and injustice.

Let us not stay silent. Every child deserves a life filled with peace, love, and opportunity. It's our duty to advocate, educate, and protect.

🩸 On the 31st of May, ZEFA and partner organizations came together to celebrate World Menstrual Hygiene Day at Ndongo Camp, Tiko, under the theme "Bleed with pride."

This impactful event aimed to empower young girls and women with the knowledge, confidence, and resources to manage their menstrual health with dignity and pride.

💬 Key highlights included:
✔️ A talk on self-esteem during menstruation encouraging girls to embrace their periods with confidence and understand that menstruation is a natural and powerful part of womanhood.
✔️ Training on how to calculate the menstrual cycle: equipping girls to track their periods, understand their bodies, and avoid surprises.
✔️ A practical demonstration on how to wear and dispose of sanitary pads properly promoting hygiene, safety, and self-respect.

In addition, sanitary pads were distributed, and open discussions were held to break myths, answer questions, and create a safe, supportive environment.

🙏 We extend heartfelt thanks to our partner organizations for their collaboration and dedication:

Self-esteem is the foundation of how we show up in the world. When you believe in your worth, everything begins to change, how you speak, walk, and make decisions. Confidence is not about being perfect; it’s about accepting yourself and standing strong despite your flaws.
This self-esteem activity was carried out with the amazing pupils of Sasse Nursery and primary schools Tole. And it was powerful to see young minds learning to value themselves Early.

If you’ve ever doubted your value or struggled with low self-esteem, this video is for you. It’s time we start owning our worth and walking in confidence. Share this with someone who needs a reminder today, you are enough.

Happy world water day!

Today we're reminded of one of our planet's most precious resources-water. Every drop counts, yet millions of people around the world still lack access to safe, clean water.

Water sustains life, nurtures growth, and fuels communities. But with climate change, pollution, and overuse threatening these vital resources, it's up to us to act.

Let's not take water for granted. Together, we can make small changes that create a big impact conserving, protecting, and valuing water every day

Water is life. Water is a right. Water is a responsibility.

This is the Ngomba women Association in malende where ZEFA Foundation had the privilege of implementing a comprehensive training program on quality puff-puff and beans production. The initiative also included sensitization sessions on critical topics such as Gender-Based Violence(GBV), updates on traditional marriages, girl child empowerment, and the active participation of women in economic development.
Aligned with this year's international women's Day theme, which emphasizes inclusivity and economic empowerment, this initiative aims to equip women with practical skills and knowledge to foster self resiliance and community growth. By empowering women through Education and entrepreneurship, we contribute to a more equitable society where women play a central role in shaping sustainable economic and social progress.
