*Morning Devotion*

United With Christ

Scripture: Romans 6:5 NIV
“For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.”

There is something powerful about being united with Christ. Christianity is not simply about believing that Jesus died and rose again; it is about allowing His death and resurrection to transform the way we live.

When we are united with Christ in His death, our old life is no longer supposed to control us. The old habits, the old mindset, the old ways of responding, and the things that once held us captive must begin to lose their power over us.

But the story does not end with death. There is resurrection.

Whatever has died in obedience to Christ can be raised into something new. God can give us a new heart, a new perspective, new strength, new purpose, and a new way of living.

Sometimes God allows us to go through seasons where we feel like something in us is dying—our plans, our expectations, our comfort, or even a version of ourselves we have become accustomed to. But when we are in Christ, death is never the final chapter.

Resurrection is coming.

So, do not be afraid to surrender the old. Do not hold on to habits, attitudes, relationships, or desires that God is asking you to release. What you surrender to Christ is never wasted.

Today, remember this: you are not who you used to be. You belong to Christ, and His resurrection power is at work in you.

*Prayer*

Lord Jesus, thank You for uniting me with You. Help me to die daily to the things that do not please You and to walk in the newness of life You have given me. Give me the grace to surrender the old and the faith to believe in the new things You are bringing forth in my life. Let the power of Your resurrection be evident in my thoughts, choices, character, and daily living. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What is one thing God may be asking me to let go of so that I can walk more fully in the new life He has given me?

TWN GENERAL CHILDREN’S CAMP 2026

Theme: *“OUR SEEDS WILL NOT FAIL”*

Gathering of the Next Generation — Raising Godly Seeds

The Treasured Wives Network (TWN) is excited to bring together our precious children from Kumba, Buea, Mutengene, Limbe, Tiko, Douala, and every other TW branch for a remarkable time of fellowship, learning, fun, prayer, leadership development, and purposeful connection.

This is more than just a children’s gathering—it is an investment in the next generation. Our children are the seeds we are planting today, and we believe that with the right foundation, guidance, love, discipline, and prayers, OUR SEEDS WILL NOT FAIL!!

At this year’s camp, our children will have the opportunity to learn, grow, make new friendships, discover their potential, and be encouraged to develop godly values that will shape their future. Through teachings and prayers for a successful back-to-school season, preparation for CCH26, and a Brief Leaders’ Meeting, we are intentionally preparing them not only for today, but for the leaders they are becoming tomorrow.

*WHY THIS CAMP MATTERS*

Every child carries a destiny. Every child is a seed. And every seed needs the right environment to grow.

As mothers and members of TWN, we have a responsibility to build better homes by raising better children—children who know God, understand their worth, respect others, embrace excellence, and are prepared to make a positive impact in their generation.

So, let us come together as one big TWN family and create beautiful memories while sowing seeds of faith, wisdom, character, leadership, unity, and purpose into the lives of our children.

*HOW TO PRAY EFFECTIVELY*

Developing a Powerful and Fruitful Prayer Life

Prayer is more than simply talking to God. Prayer is fellowship with God, communication with our Father, and a spiritual weapon through which we align ourselves with His will. An effective prayer life can transform a person, a family, a church, and even circumstances.

> “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” — James 5:16 (KJV)

*1. Pray With Faith*
Effective prayer begins with faith. We must believe that God hears us and that He is able to answer.

Mark 11:24:
> “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

Do not approach prayer merely as a religious exercise. Come before God believing that He is real, He hears, and He is able to act.

Hebrews 11:6 reminds us that without faith it is impossible to please God

*2. Pray According to God's Will*
We should not only ask God for what we want; we should seek to know what God wants.

1 John 5:14:
> “If we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.”
Effective prayer says, “Lord, this is what I desire, but let Your will be done.”

Jesus demonstrated this in the Garden of Gethsemane:

Luke 22:42:
> “Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.”
When our prayers align with God's Word and His will, our confidence in prayer becomes stronger.

*3. Pray With a Pure and Sincere Heart*
Sin can interfere with our fellowship with God.

Psalm 66:18:
> “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.”
Before presenting our requests, we should examine our hearts and repent of known sin.

1 John 1:9 assures us that when we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us.

Don't hide your weaknesses from God. Come honestly before Him.

*4. Pray According to God's Word*
One of the most powerful ways to pray is to pray Scripture.

Instead of saying only, “Lord, bless me,” find what God's Word says about His promises and pray those promises.

For example:
Philippians 4:19:
> “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

You can pray:
“Father, Your Word says that You shall supply all my needs according to Your riches in glory. I trust You for every need in my life.”

The Word of God gives us a strong foundation for prayer.

*5. Begin With Thanksgiving and Praise*
Don't make prayer only a list of requests.

Philippians 4:6:
> “In every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

Start by thanking God for who He is and for what He has already done.

Psalm 100:4:
> “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise.”

Thanksgiving changes our perspective. Instead of focusing only on what we lack, we begin to recognize God's faithfulness.

*6. Pray Persistently*
Sometimes the answer does not come immediately. That does not mean God has ignored you.

Jesus taught His disciples:

Luke 18:1:
> “Men ought always to pray, and not to faint.”

Persistence means continuing to trust God even when you don't yet see the answer.

Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep standing on God's Word.

*7. Pray in Secret*
There is power in developing a private prayer life.

Matthew 6:6:

> “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet…”

Public prayer should never replace private fellowship with God.

What happens in your secret place strengthens what people see in public.

Your public power is often connected to your private prayer life.

*8. Pray With the Help of the Holy Spirit*
Sometimes we don't know exactly what to pray.

Romans 8:26:
> “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought…”

The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness and guides us in prayer.

Therefore, don't rush through prayer. Give the Holy Spirit room to guide your thoughts, desires, and words.

*9. Pray for Others*
Effective prayer is not always about ourselves.

1 Timothy 2:1 encourages believers to make prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for others.

Pray for:

Your family

Your children

Your spouse

Your church

Your leaders

Your community

Those who are struggling

Those who have offended you

People who do not yet know Christ
Job 42:10 shows us something powerful: when Job prayed for his friends, God also changed his own situation.

Sometimes the key to your breakthrough is found in becoming an intercessor for someone else.

10. *Pray Without Giving Up*

One of the greatest enemies of prayer is discouragement.

You may pray today and see nothing tomorrow. Pray again.

You may pray for months and still not see the answer. Keep trusting God.

Galatians 6:9 says:
> “Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

God's delay is not necessarily God's denial.

*11. Listen After You Pray*
Prayer is a conversation, not a monologue.

After presenting your requests, be quiet and listen.

Psalm 46:10:
> “Be still, and know that I am God.”
God can speak through Scripture, the Holy Spirit, godly counsel, circumstances, and sometimes through a deep conviction in our hearts.

However, always test what you believe you have heard against God's Word.

12. *Live What You Pray*
Prayer should produce action.
If you pray for wisdom, be willing to follow God's instruction.

If you pray for reconciliation, be willing to forgive.

If you pray for provision, be willing to work faithfully.

If you pray for spiritual growth, be willing to study God's Word and obey Him.

James 2:17 teaches that faith without works is dead.

*A SIMPLE PATTERN FOR EFFECTIVE PRAYER*

You can remember this simple pattern:

P — Praise God
R — Repent and ask for forgiveness
A — Ask according to His Word and will
Y — Yield yourself to God

*CONCLUSION*

Effective prayer is not about using complicated words or praying for many hours simply to impress people. It is about genuine fellowship with God, faith in His character, agreement with His Word, persistence, obedience, and dependence on the Holy Spirit.

It washes whiter than snow.

*HOW TO USE THE BLOOD OF JESUS EFFECTIVELY*

The blood of Jesus is not a magical formula or an object that we use mechanically. Its power comes from Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross. We apply the benefits of His blood through faith, repentance, prayer, confession of God's Word, and obedience to God.

*1. Believe in the power of Christ's sacrifice*
Everything begins with faith.
> “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins.” — Ephesians 1:7

Before speaking about the blood, believe in what Jesus accomplished through His death and resurrection.

*2. Use the blood in prayer*
You can consciously thank God for the blood of Jesus and ask Him to apply the benefits of Christ's sacrifice to your life.

For example:
> “Father, I thank You for the blood of Jesus Christ. Thank You that through His blood I have redemption and forgiveness. I place my life, my family and everything concerning me into Your hands. Keep me under Your protection and help me to walk in obedience to You, in Jesus' name.”
This is not a magic formula. It is an expression of faith in Christ.

*3. Plead the blood when you need cleansing from sin*
When you have sinned, don't run away from God. Confess and repent.

> “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9

And:
> “The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” — 1 John 1:7
The effective use of the blood begins with a heart that is willing to repent.

*4. Declare what the blood has accomplished*
You can use Scripture to remind yourself of your position in Christ.

For example:
“Through the blood of Jesus, I have redemption and forgiveness.”
— Ephesians 1:7
“I overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony.”
— Revelation 12:11

“Through the blood of Jesus, I have boldness to approach God.”
— Hebrews 10:19
This strengthens your faith and keeps your focus on Christ's finished work.

*5. Pray for God's protection*
You can commit yourself and your family to God and ask Him to protect you.

The Passover gives us a biblical picture of the significance of blood:

> “When I see the blood, I will pass over you.” — Exodus 12:13
For Christians, this ultimately points to Christ, our Passover Lamb:

> “For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us.” — 1 Corinthians 5:7
So rather than treating the blood as a supernatural object, trust the God who provided salvation through Christ's blood.

*6. Use the blood in spiritual warfare*
When facing fear, temptation or spiritual opposition, don't merely repeat “I plead the blood” without faith.

Combine your declaration with God's Word and submission to God.

> “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.” — Revelation 12:11
Also remember:

> “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” — James 4:7

Our victory comes through Christ, faith, God's Word and obedience.

*7. Remember that the blood gives you access to God*
Don't approach God as someone who has no right to come before Him.

> “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.” — Hebrews 10:19

You can pray boldly because Christ has opened the way.

*8. Live a life that honours the blood*
The most effective response to Christ's blood is not simply talking about it—it is living for the One who shed it.

> “Ye are not your own. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.” — 1 Corinthians 6:19–20

If we truly understand the price Jesus paid, it should influence how we live.

*A SIMPLE DAILY DECLARATION*

> “I belong to Jesus Christ. I thank God for the precious blood of Jesus, through which I have redemption, forgiveness and access to God. I place my life and everything concerning me in God's hands. I reject sin, fear and the works of darkness, and I choose to walk in faith and obedience to God's Word. I declare that my confidence is in Jesus Christ and His finished work. In Jesus' name, Amen.”

*HOW DO I DISCOVER MY PURPOSE?*( continuation of the message yesterday on discovering your purpose)

Discovering your purpose is a journey of seeking God, understanding yourself, developing your gifts, and serving others.

*1. Seek God*

Your purpose comes from God, so begin by seeking Him through prayer and fellowship.

«Jeremiah 33:3 — “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”»

*2. Study God's Word*

The Word of God gives direction and helps you understand God's will for your life.

«Psalm 119:105 — “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”»

*3. Pray for Direction*

Ask God to give you wisdom and clarity concerning your assignment.

«James 1:5 — “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God…”»

*4. Identify Your Gifts and Abilities*

Pay attention to the talents, abilities and strengths God has placed in you.

«Romans 12:6 — “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us…”»

Ask yourself:

- What am I naturally good at?
- What do I enjoy doing?
- What do people often come to me for help with?
- What abilities can I use to serve God and others?

*5. Pay Attention to the Needs Around You*

Sometimes your purpose is connected to a problem God has given you the grace and passion to solve.

Ask yourself:

“What problem breaks my heart, and what can I do to make a difference?”

*6. Start Serving*

Purpose becomes clearer as you serve.

Do not wait until everything is perfect before you begin. Start with what is already in your hands.

*7. Listen to Godly Counsel*

Wise and godly people can help you recognize gifts and possibilities that you may not see in yourself.

«Proverbs 11:14 — “Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.”»

*8. Be Patient*

Purpose is a journey, not merely a destination.

God may reveal your purpose gradually. Do not compare your journey with someone else's.

Trust God's timing, remain faithful, keep growing, and continue taking the next step.

*Main Scripture: Habakkuk 2:2–3*

*«“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” — Habakkuk 2:2»*

*1. WHAT IS A VISION?*
A vision is a clear picture of a desired future or a God-given picture of what God wants to accomplish through your life.

Vision answers questions such as:

- Where am I going?
- What am I trying to accomplish?
- What has God placed in my heart?
- What kind of person do I want to become?
- What should I be building?

Proverbs 29:18 says:

«“Where there is no vision, the people perish.”»

Vision gives direction. Without direction, effort can be wasted.

You can be busy and still not be productive. You can be moving and still be going nowhere. You can have energy but lack direction.

That is why vision is important.

*2. GOD IS INTERESTED IN YOUR VISION*
One of the clearest biblical examples is found in the life of Abraham.

God told Abraham:
«“Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them... So shall thy seed be.” — Genesis 15:5»

God gave Abraham something he could see.
Abraham was looking at the stars, but God was using what he saw to build faith for what he could not yet see.

This teaches us something powerful:
What you continually see can influence what you believe is possible.
Sometimes your circumstances are so loud that you forget what God has promised.

Writing your vision gives you something to return to when circumstances become discouraging.

*3. WRITING THE VISION MAKES IT CLEAR*
Habakkuk 2:2 says:
«“Write the vision, and make it plain...”»

God did not say, “Write it and make it complicated.”
He said, make it plain.
A written vision forces you to become specific.

Instead of saying:
“I want to succeed.”
Write:

*“I want to build a successful institution that provides quality education and positively impacts families.”*

Instead of saying:
“I want to grow spiritually.”

Write:
*“I will develop a consistent prayer life, study the Word of God and grow in obedience to God.”*
The clearer the vision, the easier it becomes to identify the steps required to pursue it.

*4. WRITING YOUR VISION GIVES YOU SOMETHING TO RUN WITH*
Habakkuk 2:2 says:
«“...that he may run that readeth it.”»

Notice the connection:

WRITE → READ → RUN
The vision is written so that the person who reads it can run with it.

A written vision gives you direction for your actions.
When you know where you are going, you can begin asking:
What must I do today to move closer to that destination?

Vision should not merely inspire you.
Vision should mobilize you.

A person with vision does not simply dream; they begin to act.

*5. WRITING YOUR VISION HELPS YOU REMEMBER*
Life can make you forget what you once believed.

There are seasons when you are excited, and there are seasons when you become tired.
There are days when everything seems possible, and there are days when you wonder whether your dream will ever happen.

That is why writing is powerful.

God repeatedly instructed His people to remember His works.

When you write your vision, you create a visible reminder of what you are pursuing.
When discouragement comes, you can go back and read what you wrote.
When you feel like giving up, the vision can remind you why you started.

*6. A WRITTEN VISION HELPS YOU MEASURE PROGRESS*
If you have never written down where you are going, it becomes difficult to know whether you are actually making progress.

Suppose you write:
- I want to improve my spiritual life.
- I want to improve my finances.
- I want to develop my education.
- I want to build my business.
- I want to serve God more effectively.
- I want to help more people.

You can periodically look at your list and ask:
Where am I now?
What have I accomplished?
What remains unfinished?
What needs to change?
A written vision becomes a tool for accountability.

*7. WRITING THE VISION CAN STRENGTHEN YOUR FAITH*
Hebrews 11:1 says:
«“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”»

Faith deals with things that are not yet visible.
Your vision may describe something that does not exist today but that you believe can exist tomorrow.

Perhaps today you have a small beginning, but your vision shows you a much larger future.
Do not despise the beginning.
Zechariah 4:10 says:

«“For who hath despised the day of small things?”»

What you see today may not be the final picture.

*8. WRITING THE VISION HELPS YOU STAY FOCUSED*
There are many distractions in life.
Everybody has an opinion about what you should do.
People may tell you:
“You cannot do it.”
“It is too difficult.”
“Why are you trying?”
“Be realistic.”
But when you have a clear vision, you know what you are pursuing.

Paul said:
«“This one thing I do...” — Philippians 3:13»
Paul understood the importance of focus.
Not every opportunity is your assignment.
Not every invitation deserves your attention.
Not every battle deserves your energy.

Vision helps you determine what deserves your time

*9. VISION HELPS YOU SAY NO TO DISTRACTIONS*
One of the hidden powers of vision is that it helps you reject distractions.
When you know where you are going, you can recognize what is taking you away from your destination.
A person without vision may say yes to everything.

But a person with vision learns to say:
“That may be good, but it is not part of my assignment.”
Jesus demonstrated focus.
In John 4:34, He said:

«“My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”»
Jesus knew His assignment.
You also need to know yours.
FINAL THOUGHT

Do not merely have a vision in your mind.

Write it down.

Make it plain.

Read it.

Pray over it.

Work toward it.

Stay focused.

And refuse to allow distractions to take you away from what God has placed in your heart.

Habakkuk 2:2–3:

«“Write the vision, and make it plain... that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time...”».
