WHAT I AM ABOUT TO SHARE… WILL SHOCK YOU.
It’s funny…
When a poor man earns money, he celebrates it, starts spending and never interrogates his expenditures.
But when a rich man earns, he always questions his money before he spends, we frown at it and call him stingyman.
You see that difference… that is where wealth is created or destroyed.
Now, let’s do something today when you are back from work.
Open your bank app. Not to check your balance but to download your account statement.
Scroll from January till now. record every debit, every transfer, every withdrawal including POS.
And ask yourself one question..… honestly.
“Did this bring me closer to wealth… or further from it?”
Now pause.
Calculate everything that did NOT move your life forward, or built anything. I mean everything that did not grow you or multiply your income.
Add it up.
Look at that number again.
Do you know what that number is? That is the salary you are paying your poverty.
You now see the reason we are always broke because money is leaving without permission, without direction and without accountability.
You are the CEO of your life.
But somehow…
You have employed poverty. And it is your most loyal staff.
It shows up every month.
It collects salary every week.
It never complains.
It never resigns.
Because you keep paying it.
Now, Billionaires don’t just make money, they question money, and before any money leaves their hand, they ask...
“Will this produce more than it costs?”
If yes… they release it. If no… they protect it.
We call it stinginess but in reality it is discipline and stewardship.
One of my mentors said ....."Your future is not built by your income but it's built by your expenses.
Because income gives you opportunity but expenses reveal your priorities.
Every naira you spend is casting a very serious vote. A vote for......The kind of life you will live..The level you will remain...The future you will experience
So ask yourself...
What did your expenses vote for last month?
We have to stop setting income goals only and try to prioritise setting expense standards.
There is a difference between what you earn and what you keep… it is a big gap.
Guard that gap, fight for that gap and protech that gap.
Your bank statement will expose the truth and that is why I call it financial report card.
I am still your favourite Billionaire Mechanic, fixing my finances as I fix yours.
