INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD

On Sunday 11/10/2026 Children Educational Empowerment Association Cameroon joined Manyu Women for Empowerment to celebrate the international girl child day.

Children Educational Empowerment Association Cameroon joined with EYUMEMA Buea Branch, to support 50 internally displaced women and girls from Manyu Division and 11 trainees of the Women Empowerment Center with economic empowerment kits through its back-to-school program. The support was provided over the weekend in Buea as part of activities marking the International Day of the Girl Child.

This is a day, we call upon all to recognize the rights of the girl child, identify the challenges they face and Celebrate the potentials In every girl child"

Today, this activity that is being implemented by Eyumema Buea branch is very, very timely because the world over is celebrating the International Day of the Girl Child. Exercise books, pens, pencils and other learning materials can make a difference as they return to the classroom. For trainees at the Women Empowerment Center, The Economic Empowerment Kit offer practical support as they work towards earning a living. These are beneficiaries of an initiative by Children Educational Empowerment Association Cameroon and Manyu Women for Empowerment, EYUMEMA Buea branch, during an event in Buea on Sunday, October 11 to mark the International Day of the Girl Child.

This is a day, we call upon all to recognize the rights of the girl child, identify the challenges they face and Celebrate the potentials In every girl child. So when we look at the activities that is taking place here today, I say it is very, very timely because Children Educational Empowerment Association Cameroon with EYUMEMA has supported 50 young girls, women with back-to-school kids and 11 trainees from the Women Empowerment Center with economic empowerment kits. So this is very, very important and it's laudable. For the beneficiaries, the support comes with the renewed hope for their education and future plans.

Children Educational Empowerment Association Cameroon(CEEAC) Fight Against Femicide in Cameroon

On Friday, October Children Educational Empowerment Association Cameroon(CEEAC) joined other Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and stakeholders in Buea, South-West Region of Cameroon, to raise their voices against femicide and all forms of violence against women and girls.

The participation took place through a peaceful advocacy walk organised by the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and the Family (MINPROFF) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The walk brought together civil society actors and community stakeholders, moving from UB Junction to the Molyko Omnisports Stadium in a collective demonstration of solidarity and commitment ànd some from OIC market towards Omnisports Stadium to ending femicide.

The initiative served as a powerful call for justice, safety, dignity, and protection for women and girls. It reinforced the fundamental principle that women's rights are human rights and that no form of violence against women and girls should ever be tolerated, excused, or normalised.

CEEAC participation reflects its continued commitment to supporting survivors of gender-based violence, strengthening community awareness, and promoting collective action to prevent violence against women and girls. Through sustained advocacy and survivor-centred interventions, CEEAC remains dedicated to fostering safer, more inclusive communities where every woman and girl can live free from violence and fear.

Today, we officially brought the CEEAC Holiday Boot Camp to an end!

What started as a holiday learning opportunity has come to a beautiful conclusion, with our young participants proudly receiving their Certificates of Participation. 📜👏

We are incredibly proud of each child for showing up, learning, participating and making the most of this opportunity.

A big thank you to our trainers, parents, partners and everyone who contributed to making this program a success.
