Strengthening Humanitarian Response in Cameroon!

🌍🤝Good Hope Charity Organization was proud to participate in the North West and South West Cluster Transition to Sector Coordination workshop, held right here in Buea from August 12th–13th, 2026.

This transition marks a vital step forward in how NGOs and partners collaborate. By moving from clusters to sector coordination, we are streamlining our efforts to ensure aid reaches those who need it most, faster and more efficiently. Our team is fully committed to implementing these strategic shifts across our ongoing projects. Together with our partners, we are building a more coordinated, resilient, and impactful humanitarian response.

At Good Hope Charity Organization (GHCO), we believe that creating safe, respectful, and empowered communities starts with awareness and action.

As part of our commitment to preventing and responding to Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (SEAH), GHCO recently held a community awareness session during the Nwangri Youth Meeting in Bakweri Town, Buea! 🤝✨

What was the goal?

🧠 Educate: Deepen community understanding of SEAH and its impact.

🛡️ Protect: Promote safe, healthy, and respectful behaviors across all age groups.

🗣️ Empower: Encourage members to speak up, report concerns safely, and stand in solidarity with survivors.

By engaging young people and representatives from various surrounding neighborhoods, this session sparked vital conversations that attendees can now take back to their families and local networks.

Together, we can ensure zero tolerance for exploitation and abuse. Let's build a safer community for everyone! 💪💙

THREE DAYS CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP ON THE CHILD PROTECTION INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PLUS CPIMS.

Building Stronger Child Protection Systems in the South West Region!
From August 5th to 7th, Good Hope Charity Organization (GHCO) is actively participating in a critical 3-Day Capacity Building Workshop on the Child Protection Information Management System Plus (CPIMS+) at the Mountain Hotel, Buea.

CPIMS+ (powered by Primero) is a safe, confidential digital case management system designed to streamline identification, assessment, service delivery, and referrals for vulnerable children.

🤝 Stronger Together for the South West Region.
We were honored to engage with UNFPA as they strengthen collaboration with partners working in the South West Region, during the visit of the Deputy Director.

At Good Hope Charity Organization, GHCO, we welcome this renewed commitment during this transitional period. Together, we can do more to protect women, girls, and vulnerable communities through health, dignity, and opportunity.

📢 *BREAKING: ONE STOP CENTER COMING TO BUEA* 📢

We are proud to announce a major step forward for the protection of survivors in the South West Region.

During the visit of the Deputy Director of UNFPA to Buea, a tour was conducted at the proposed site for the ONE STOP CENTER — a dedicated center that will receive and support all Gender-Based Violence, GBV cases in Buea.

A space has been officially allocated and will be equipped very soon for the center to become operational.

Good Hope Charity Organization, GHCO is honored to be named as the partner organization that will manage and run the center.

This center will provide medical, psychosocial, legal and referral services all in one place — with dignity, confidentiality, and care.

Together with UNFPA and other partners, we are building a safer future for women, girls, and vulnerable persons in our community.

Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse. PSEA 18th June 2026

Strengthening Protection in Our Communities.

Yesterday, Good Hope Charity Organization successfully hosted a *one-day training session* to build the capacity of stakeholders on *Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse and Response*.

The training brought together community leaders, partners, and frontline workers to deepen understanding of their roles in creating safe, accountable environments for all.

Key highlights:
✅ Understanding PSEA standards and obligations
✅ Strengthening reporting and referral pathways
✅ *Survivor-Centered Approach* – the second presentation focused on putting the dignity, safety, and rights of survivors at the center of every response

This follows an intensive three-day training session dedicated to empowering trainers on PSEA protocols. Notably, Good Hope was the lone partner representing the South West Region, highlighting our unique leadership and commitment to safety in the area.

This role reinforces our zero-tolerance policy and our dedication to ensuring a safe, respectful environment for every community we serve.

At Good Hope Charity Organization, we recently conducted a needs assessment in our community — and what we found broke our hearts, but also strengthened our resolve.

We discovered that many children are at serious risk of dropping out of school — not because they lack the desire to learn, but because they simply don't have access to basic school materials.

Our mission was clear: "Ensuring every child stay safe in school and learning — no child left behind."

Because when a child loses access to education, we all lose.

We are calling on individuals, businesses, and partners who share our belief that education is a right — not a privilege — to join us in this effort.
