Meet Our Member: Lamana Youssoufa Trésor Lyse 🌟
We are delighted to welcome Lamana Youssoufa Trésor Lyse, a dedicated psychologist from Maroua, Far North Cameroon, to the Young Women Mediators Network (YWMC). At 32, she brings a wealth of expertise in mental health, psychosocial support, and gender-sensitive approaches, working tirelessly with women and girls, displaced populations, vulnerable children and families, as well as female prisoners.
Through her work at ONG ALDEPA (Action Locale pour un Développement Participatif et Autogéré), Lamana offers both individual and group therapy, leads community-based interventions, and applies the survivor-centered approach to support survivors of gender-based violence. She is also committed to capacity building for community actors, ensuring stronger and more effective responses to trauma, violence, and women’s rights.
Beyond her professional role, Lamana is deeply passionate about building peace through conflict mediation within her workplace and the wider communities she serves. Her vision is to see women empowered as leaders, advocates, and agents of change in advancing gender equality, empowerment, and mental health advocacy.
✨ We celebrate her passion, resilience, and commitment to making a difference. Welcome to YWMC, Lamana
