This is what true empowerment looks like.

Meet Esambe Bella Crist , a well-educated, hardworking, beautiful young girl and a proud single mother. After earning her degree, Bella could have chosen the comfort and excitement of city life like many others. Instead, she made the selfless decision to return home to support her parents, not only caring for them, but also working alongside them on the farm.

With just 15.000frs (15k) support, Bella started a small business.
Through consistency, discipline, hard work, and determination, she gradually expanded into erru and water leaves, proving that even the smallest opportunity can produce remarkable results when placed in the right hands.

Inspired by her dedication and visible progress, we supported her with an additional 25,000frs, (25k) which she invested wisely by expanding into dry fish. We are moved by her progress.

Recently, after discussing the possibility of expanding her business further, Bella's response touched us deeply.
In her calm, soft and respectful voice, she said
Let me first evaluate how the dry fish business is doing so I can know what will generate profit quickly before adding. She also thank the Ndobe Stel Foundation for touching her life.

That response spoke volumes. Bella is not only hardworking, she is intelligent, wise, focused and thinking like a true entrepreneur.

Few days ago, we visited the grandmother of Courage, one of the beneficiaries who has received continuous support from the Ndobe Stel Foundation. During the 2024/2025 academic year, Courage was awarded a school sponsorship of 100,000frs (100k) which enabled her to successfully complete her primary education and obtain both her Common Entrance Certificate and First School Leaving Certificate.

After her graduation, we began making plans to support her transition into secondary school. As part of our regular follow-up visits, through Kuntum Vivian we met with her grandmother, who informed us that Courage’s mother had relocated with her to another city. Unfortunately, without any phone contact we were unable to reach them.

Four months ago, we also empowered her grandmother with the sum of 60,000frs (60k) to start a small fowl business. Today, we are proud to witness the progress and results of that support. This is exactly the kind of transformation and impact we hope to see in the lives of the people we empower. It is truly encouraging and inspiring.

After seeing clear evidence of her efforts and discussing her challenges, strengths, and future plans, we have decided to further support her by helping provide what she needs to expand her business.

At the same time, it is unfortunate that some beneficiaries who received support during the same period, 50,000frs (50k), are currently unreachable and have provided no updates on their businesses.

Here is the list of the people we empowered with 15,000 frs (15k) each to start their small businesses sometime ago. Out of the 7 people we supported, only 3 have stayed in contact with us. Esambe Bella Crist Bessem Nadia Kuntum Vivian We have continued to invest in their businesses, and today, we are proud to see their small beginnings grow into something meaningful.

This is the true purpose of empowerment, to help people rise from little beginnings to greater opportunities. Seeing lives transformed is the seed we want to keep planting in our community.
