MAFOH â KUMBA BRANCH FIELD ACTIVITY REPORT
On Sunday, 10th May 2026, MANYITAKU FOUNDATION OF HOPE Kumba Branch, carried out a health outreach activity for a 72-year-old mother who has been ill with a wound on her leg. The activity was geared toward carrying out an assessment of the womanâs health condition and evaluating the degree of the wound. The team sought appropriate measures to ensure that the wound healing process is well taken care of.
The outreach team were a qualified nurse from the Kumba Regional Hospital Annex and two team members from the MAFOH Kumba Branch. The team visited the beneficiary at her residence. The nurse conducted a professional assessment of her
general health and examined the wound to determine its severity, stage of healing, and risk of infection. Basic wound care was administered, and the beneficiary received health education on personal hygiene, nutrition, and home-based wound management practices to support recovery.
At the end of the activity, the woman was happy with the care and attention provided. She expressed her sincere gratitude and sent a thank you message to the MAFOH team members. She also wished them best regards in whatever they do.
The outreach achieved its objectives of health assessment and initial wound care intervention. The Kumba Branch remains committed to following up on the beneficiaryâs progress and continuing
MAFOHâS mission of bringing hope through community health support.
