As we celebrated with the children today, we were reminded of the true meaning of Christmas: the birth of Jesus Christ. Just as His birth signifies God's love and salvation for us all, we hoped to share a small reflection of that love through our outreach today.

For our special Christmas Outreach this year we choosed to spend it with the children at Makah Orphanage of the MaKah Foundation in the Babenga community in the Outskirts of Douala. In this season let warmth of family and the joy of sharing a love that knows no bounds fill your heart, so that your love reaches out to someone. There is love in sharing🥰.

We are thankful to our team and Executive Director who made this outreach possible.

The sight of a child’s eyes widening as they receive their very own supplies, the smell of fresh books, and the feeling of belonging they get from knowing someone went the distance for them.. someone remembered them—that's the reward that matters most to us.

This effort is not just about supplies given; it's about delivering hope to the Children of Mbabum Community School, Andek- Ngie. Reminding the those who dream big and the parents who work tirelessly:
"You are seen. You matter. Your child’s education is valued."

AYEF remains devoted to reaching out to every child. The true measure of our commitment is how far we are willing to go to inspire every soul!

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry said "A goal without a plan is just a wish." Setting Goals is a step towards being succesful in life, but without an actionable plan, it would remain a wish. Children can set goals too and have actionable plans on how to achieve these goals..

During the BACK TO SCHOOL 2025 session, the Children set goals for themselves in this academic year which centered around BEING AMONGST THE FIRST 10 IN THEIR CLASS, OBEDIENT TO THEIR PARENTS/GUARDIANS AND HEALTHY LIVING STYLE. To achieve these goals they COMMITTED THEMSELVES to;

1.) To Obeying their parents and carrying out their responsibilities at home
2.) To reduce the time of playing while on their way home and after school so they can come home early, focus on reading and doing their assignments
3.) To loving themselves by practicing good hygiene, for taking care of yourself equals loving your self; Wash you innerwears, bathe, brush your teeth and put on clean clothes

What goal are you setting for yourself this week?🤗

Ensuring Educational Attainment for girls and boys is not only ensuring a sustainable future for the child but for the community, Nation and the world.

The smiles, the sparkling eyes, the joyful leaps of hope told us a story of the future of our community and Moments like these remind us why we began this journey: to ensure that every child steps into the academic year fully prepared and inspired to learn.
that’s what greeted us when

*Every child deserves an education not just access, but the right resources to thrive without barriers.* This year, AYEF reached over a Hundred (100+) school-going girls and boys in Douala and Tiko Tollgate, providing didactic materials and officially launching our Educational Scholarship Scheme for Primary Education. We’re proud to share that 15 children are now scholarship beneficiaries for 2025!

Sustainability is at the heart of our mission. That’s why we continue supporting children from last year while adding new ones each year. Our goal isn’t one-time relief, but long-term impact ensuring consistent support for at least 3 years. By 2035, we are committed to reaching 1,000 young learners with the tools they need to dream, learn, and lead.

Together, we can make this vision a reality. Join us in creating a sustainable future where every child has the opportunity to learn and succeed. Your partnership can change a life forever.

Promoting Menstrual Hygiene Management amongst Adoloscent Young Girls

Today, our NGO took a bold step forward in breaking the stigma around menstruation by hosting a Menstrual Hygiene Management Workshop in Small Moquo Community at Missaka Kingdom. Over 35 women and girls joined us for an empowering session filled with education, open conversations, and practical solutions.

We distributed menstrual hygiene kits which comprised of sanitary pads, detergents, pants and small buckets to ensure that they all have access to safe and dignified menstrual care. We shared tips on hygiene practices, sustainable menstrual products, and the importance of self-care during menstruation.

Together, we’re fostering a supportive environment where periods are no longer a taboo but a natural part of life celebrated with confidence. A huge thank you to our Executive Director and AYEF Staff for making this event a success!

Let’s keep the conversation going and continue advocating for a , where the stigma and taboos surrounding menstruation are history, creating a world where every girl can access the products, period education, menstrual health services and period-friendly infrastructure they need.
