Say no to FEMICIDE

05/09/2026

Yesterday the 4th of August, Hope for Peace and Human Rights Association Joined the March Against Femicide with Women-Led Organizations in the North-West Region for a sensitization against femicide, based on the growing concerns over violence against women and girls across Cameroon.

Together, Hope For Peace And Human Rights-HOPEHUR, women-led organizations, the Cameroon Human Right Commission, City Council, bike riders and well-wishers came together to raise their voices against violence in all its forms, laying emphasis on protecting women and girls.

The march ended with a call for stronger community action, intense government commitment and firmed justice action to prevent femicide, hold perpetrators accountable, and protect the rights and dignity of women and girls.

Femicide has been the word for sometime now yet the death rate keeps increasing. What can be the solution to this is what many are asking. Another woman killed again all in the name of cheating and my question is whether killing has become the lone solution?
This act has been condemned by both men and women and on the 22 of August 2026, Led Organization unanimously made a declaration to end all forms of violence against women especially femicide, thank you for the opportunity to join in this fight.. no woman deserves to be killed simply because she cheated on a man. He can leave her for another woman of his choice. This is not my case nor your case but our case so let's denounce any form of . Men learn to walk away for to reign.

The recent trend of happenings for some time now has been so scaring and devastating 😭💔. How can you explain the fact that women no longer feel safe in their home and children are equally not safe even with their relatives?

Since when did a mother, wife, sister or friend become an enemy to the point of being killed😭💔❤️‍🔥. What did the innocent children do that cost their lives and destiny?

Are these cases private? The answer is NO. Who are those responsible for these killings and r**e? These crimes are against humanity, the society, families and our future.

Where do we run to?
Who is to be trusted?
Who will fight for us?
Should we keep counting those r**ed and those killed?
Where are the rapists and killers?
Is the law protecting these groups of persons?
The questions are too many 😭💔😭💔yet we can't keep asking with bleeding hearts.

All we are saying is that women and children should be valued and respected, denounce violence anywhere and time, snap and report any case you see or hear and give love a chance to prevail over violence in our homes, and society.

STOP FEMICIDE AND INFANTICIDE IN OUR SOCIETY 😭💔😭💔😭💔😭❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥for every life not only matters but is very precious.

SILENCE ONLY HELP PROTECT THE KILLERS OR RAPISTS.
LETS SPEAK OUT, TAKE ACTION AND SAVE LIVES.
WE CAN DO IT, YES WE CAN END THIS TOGETHER. STOP🛑STOP🛑STOP 😭💔😭💔😭💔

The very first-ever Childhood Cancer Awareness Workshop in Bamenda yesterday the 22nd of August 2026 and HOPEHUR was duly represented. It was a learning curve for us all as we could know what exactly cancer was,it causes though unknown in most childhood cases, the early warning signs such as swelling of abdomen, neck, white spot in the eye, persistent shortage of blood (anemia), etc.

We equally had the opportunity to know the most common types which are Lymphomas, acute leukemias, retinoblastoma, nephroblastoma, cancer of muscle and bone and brain cancer.

It was made known that early diagnosis reduces the risk of death as it can be cured through chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery.

Children battling with cancer should never be abandoned or left alone. Let's breach the myth through sensitization and awareness campaigns.

Report any suspected case around you and don't say it is not your child. Early diagnosis can lead to complete cure. We celebrated some survivors and encouraged some patients
