🌿 CEMASUD FIELD UPDATE: FARMER OUTREACH IN KOM

CEMASUD is pleased to share highlights from a highly impactful agricultural outreach carried out across Belo, Njinikom, Fundong, and the Kom Palace in Laikom over the past weekend.

From Friday through Sunday, our team actively participated as the technical ground partner in the implementation of a farm support initiative led by Afo-a Kom USA Inc. (Sons and Daughters of Kom in the USA), an organization that has consistently supported farming activities across Kom through the provision of critical farm inputs, particularly fertilizers.

Our core responsibility during this outreach was to deliver practical, hands-on training to farmers, focusing on:

-Safe and responsible fertilizer use
-Correct application techniques and dosage
-Proper sequencing and timing of fertilizer application
-Promotion of sustainable and climate-smart farming systems.

We are proud to report that over 350 farmers across the three subdivisions benefited from both capacity-building sessions and direct distribution of fertilizers, equipping them to significantly improve productivity and crop yields in this planting season.

This intervention was not only timely, coinciding perfectly with the onset of the farming season but also essential in strengthening local food systems and farmer resilience.

CEMASUD–RIIC Livelihood Training Program (November Edition)

What an incredible two days of learning, empowerment, and transformation! 💚✨
We are excited to announce the successful completion of our November Livelihood Training Program (CLTP), bringing together 12 dedicated participants who committed themselves to gaining practical, income-generating skills.

From hands-on sessions in powder detergent, bathing soap, and Vaseline production, to inspirational guidance on entrepreneurship and business startup strategies, this edition was truly impactful.

A heartfelt appreciation goes to our expert trainer, Dr. Caroline, for her exceptional delivery, professionalism, and passion. Her teaching made every session practical, engaging, and results-oriented. 🙌💚

We also celebrate our participants, your seriousness, discipline, teamwork, and hunger for growth were outstanding. You showed what it means to invest in your future.

🌟 DAY ONE TRAINING UPDATE – CEMASUD–RIIC Livelihood Program 🌟

The CEMASUD Livelihood Training Workshop kicked off yesterday at 10:00am with 10 committed and registered participants ready to learn and build new income-generating skills.

The session was smoothly coordinated by Chiaga Eric, Executive Director of CEMASUD, ensuring the program flowed with clarity and purpose.

Our resource person, Dr. Waingeh Caroline, delivered an outstanding and hands-on training session. She expertly guided participants through the production of medicated bathing soap and powder detergent, combining both theory and practical demonstrations. The participants enjoyed every moment - high engagement, active participation, and excellent teamwork marked the entire day.

Overall, Day One ended successfully with participants excited and motivated for the next phase.

Day Two continues this morning at 9:30am as we proceed with Vaseline production and business support sessions.
