Happy Sunday.
But beyond the greetings and the calm, let’s be honest with ourselves
A society cannot call itself peaceful while its children are not safe.
While we pray, celebrate, and rest, there are children living with pain, fear, and silence. That should disturb us. That should move us.
R**e is not a distant problem, it is happening, and ignoring it will not make it disappear.
If we truly want change, we must stop being comfortable with silence.
We must raise boys who understand respect, consent, and self-control.
We must speak up, correct, and educate—starting in our homes.

Let this Sunday not only be about blessings,
but about responsibility.

Because protecting children is not optional—it is urgent.

Do better. Speak up. Act now.

As the waves come and go today, let this be a reminder:

Peace should not only exist in places like this, it should exist in our homes, our streets, and in every child’s life.

A child should feel as safe as the ocean is calm.
Not afraid. Not silenced. Not broken.

But while we enjoy moments like this, somewhere, a child is hurting.

This is why we cannot stay silent.
This is why we must raise boys who understand respect, consent, and self-control.

Let this Sunday not just be about rest,
Let it be about reflection.

Because a better world does not happen by chance—
it happens when we choose to do better.

Happy Sunday 🤍

Another day, another painful story.

How many more children must suffer before we take this seriously, not just in words, but in action?

R**e does not happen because victims are weak. It happens because too many perpetrators were never taught respect, boundaries, and accountability.

We must stop reacting only when it happens and start preventing it before it begins.

Talk to your sons.
Correct your friends.
Challenge harmful jokes.
Speak up when something feels wrong.

Protecting children is not optional, it is a responsibility we all share.

If we stay silent, we are part of the problem.
If we speak and act, we become part of the solution.

Enough is enough.

She was just a child.
She trusted. She didn’t deserve it.

Let’s stop asking “why didn’t she…”
and start teaching boys “you must never.”

Silence has protected abusers for too long.

Every time we ignore, excuse, or shift blame, we make it easier for harm to continue, especially against children, minors, and the vulnerable.

R**e is never caused by how someone dresses, where they go, or what time they return. It is caused by a lack of respect, lack of control, and a mindset that must be challenged early.

This is why we must start with our boys.

Teach them that “no” is a complete sentence. Teach them that strength is self-control. Teach them that respect is not optional.

If we want a safer tomorrow, then today we must speak, educate, and act.

Protect the child. Educate the boy. Change the future.

Faustin Abega, the internet user who made a notorious Facebook comment glorifying the r**e and murder of 11-year-old Divine Mbarga in Yaounde, has issued a public apology after he was arrested by gendarmes.

Abega, 36, was arrested in the locality of Lobo, Lekié Division, thanks to the Gendarmerie's online surveillance team, and presented to the press on April 6.

In a video message reported by Cameroon Tribune, he apologized, stating that he had acted to "create buzz" without measuring the gravity of his words.

He also claimed his comment was misunderstood—insisting that it was intended to draw parents' attention to the need to take better care of their children.

Today, as we celebrate Easter a season of renewal, hope, and new beginnings, I cannot ignore the painful realities some of our children are facing.
A child should never know fear in the place of innocence. A child should never carry trauma where there should be laughter. Yet, stories like this remind us that we are failing where it matters most.

R**e is not just a crime it is a deep wound on our humanity. And when it touches children, it becomes even more devastating.

We must stop placing the burden on girls to protect themselves and begin the urgent work of raising boys who understand respect, consent, and self-control. Prevention starts with what we teach, what we tolerate, and what we choose to challenge.

Let this Easter not only be about celebration, but about reflection. Let it mark a turning point where we commit to protecting the innocent and raising a generation that chooses respect over violence.

Happy Easter, but may it also be a call to do better.

This is painful to see, but silence helps nothing. We must confront the reality of sexual violence and commit to teaching boys that respect, consent, and self-control are non-negotiable.Another râpe case , another child lets join voices against such evil by educating our men, boys on the ills of sexual violence

A child’s safety should never be negotiable. Stories like this remind us why prevention, education, and accountability matter so deeply. We must raise a generation that understands respect.

In light of the recent tragic case of Divine Mbarga (11 years old) in Yaoundé, it's imperative that we confront the pervasive r**e culture in Cameroon.

Divine's story is a heartbreaking reminder of the urgent need to change societal norms that allow such atrocities to occur.

She just went to study with her friend and was brutally r**ed and killed by her friends father, **e is unacceptable

It is not just about one case; it's about a systemic issue that affects countless lives every day.

We must stand together and say 𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒊𝒔 𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉.

We call on the Cameroonian government to tighten laws surrounding sexual violence and ensure that justice is swiftly and fairly served.

Strengthening legal frameworks is not just a necessity but an urgent demand from the people.
We seek strategic partnership to address gender-based violence (GBV), , support survivors and victim families.

Together, we can create a safer environment for everyone.

Let's raise our voices and demand change. Share this message, support survivors, and take action for a better future.
