Hope for a Better Future Vocational Training (HOBEFI) Institute with authorization from Ministry of Employment and Vocational, Cameroon is in partnership with Master Peace International, Turing Foundation and Noorderpoort to prepare students for a better life with a three-year comprehensive p
ractical training in very useful trades and skills. It seeks to provide sound practical training to youths with much priority to young women. It also seeks to impart to her students sound moral and spiritual values. The Institute is aimed at inculcating in the students, a high sense of civic responsibility through community participation in its activities for example; peace building and employment creation. HOBEFI provides skill development through technical and vocational training in order to equip youths with relevant skills demanded by the labour market. Upon completion of the vocational courses, students will be attached to the respective companies for industrial training to acquire hands-on skills and experience. This exposure to the world of work is expected to increase their employability and subsequently, sustainability. Our target group are youths, who will subsequently establish businesses and create employment opportunities for others youth in the Renewable Energy value chain, ICT industry, Textiles and Agriculture through courses like Web and App Development, Computer Networking & Maintenance, Fashion and Designing, Database Administration, Agriculture in order to enable them become better Entrepreneurs. Our Objectives
-Promote the welfare of youths with priorities given to women and girls especially vulnerable ones like Persons with Disabilities.
-Train youths from the ages of 16 to 30 in self-reliant life skills, so that they will be able to carry out economic activities which enhance their self-esteem and enable them to be part of the mainstream of the development of their communities.
-Provide start up initiatives to graduates, to enable an effective integration and job creation abilities in their various communities.
-Train them in basic management skills, record keeping and entrepreneurial skills.
-Continuous monitoring and evaluation of graduates for some years for any possible backfilling.
