🇨🇮Zaouli dance originated among the G**o people of central Ivory Coast in the 1950s’

The dance and mask were inspired by a beautiful young woman named Djela Lou Zaouli🎭

Even if the dance is always performed by men, the mask represents feminine beauty and harmony✨

☘️It is believed that the dance can bring peace, prosperity and good fortune to the village.

MTP Portugal went on a new adventure to West Africa-> 🇬🇲🇸🇳🇲🇷

We started from the banks of the Gambia River, crossing Senegal and Mauritania to pass through the ancient cities in Sahara and hop on the famous iron train, our ultimate adventure💪

🌍 Traveler of the Week: Brian Asherworld.hiker

For years Brian worked as a high school Spanish teacher in the U.S., inspiring his students through stories from his travels and opening their eyes to the world beyond the classroom🙆🏻‍♂️

Over 17 years he explored the globe as a true adventurer - backpacking across continents.

☝️His final country was North Korea, visited right after reopening post-COVID.

Today Brian keeps traveling full-time not alone anymore but with his wife!

✨ A true inspiration for the MTP community.
