The Annual Cookie Sale in Zurich’s Bellevue was a huge hit! 🍪 🎄

Here are some highlights from our amazing day, where we successfully fundraised for displaced women and children in Colombia and gathered signatures for a petition to support evicted fishermen families in Barrancabermeja. ✊🏽 (want to support? Link for petition in bio).

Huge thanks to everyone who contributed to this incredible cause. Human rights defenders are needed now more than ever! 🙌🏽

Cookie & Candle Sale 🍪– Join us at Bellevue

On 13 December, from 10:00 to 17:00, linked to Amnesty‘s campaign we’re hosting a special Cookie and Candle Sale at Bellevue. Every homemade cookie, jam, Zopf, and Amnesty International Freedom Candle that you take home supports a crucial cause: aid for internally displaced women and children in Colombia.

Only in 2025, Colombia has already registered 87,898 newly displaced people, forcing women and children to flee their homes due to internal violence. Your support helps provide them with safety, dignity, and a path forward.
Come by and enjoy yourself with some Zürich handmade holidays treats and make a real impact.

🎬✨ Our screening of Writing Hawa was a full house!
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us — the room was packed, the energy was high, and the discussions were powerful. 🙌

Organized by the Amnesty Zurich English-speaking, Afghan Women Support (AWS) and Women’s Rights volunteer groups ( _frauenrechtsgruppe_zh) the evening featured a deeply moving film followed by a thought-provoking Q&A.

Our incredible panelists shared eye-opening insights into the current situation in Afghanistan, especially for women and girls. 💬 The audience came ready with thoughtful questions, making for an engaging and inspiring exchange.

We also explored ways everyone can help — like supporting remote teaching initiatives or contributing to organizations such as www.afghanwomensupport.ch 💻🌍

Thank you for being part of this important conversation. 💛
