TLi Chester Series

Four races. Mixed age fields. Youth gears. Open Roads. Big lessons. ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ

Over the last few weeks Iโ€™ve been racing a series of 4 TLi events against riders of all ages and experience levels. Racing on youth gears means thereโ€™s no room for switching off โ€” if the pace lifts or a gap opens, you have to react instantly or youโ€™re out the back!

Lots learned over these races about positioning, timing and racing smarter. Launched a few attacks and joined a few - some stuck.

Looking forward to the Chorlton Velo Classic this year..

National Youth Omnium R4: Middlesbrough

Super pleased to take second overall at Middlesbrough yesterday after a hard day of racing in some crazy winds!

Katie and I were battling for every point all day, which made for some really close racing. I finished 2nd in all but one event, with several of the races coming down to bike throws on the line but I managed to take the win in the points race with a lunge after we took a lap with Annie.

Iโ€™m happy with how I raced and it was great to be back on the track competing again. Plenty of positives to take away and now a focus on the National Youth Omnium Final in London next month.

Well done to everyone who raced, and congratulations to Katie on the win!๐Ÿ†

Bury Clarion Hill Climb โ›ฐ๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ

A proper sprint climb last night on Lumb Carr Road โ€” 1km long with an average gradient of 7%. Short, sharp and definitely one that makes you work from the first pedal stroke!

I managed a time to take the female win on the night and also set a new course record which was a lovely bonus!

Huge credit to .clarion.cc for putting on a brilliant event and to everyone who came out to race and support. Great atmosphere, big turnout, and a really enjoyable evening of racing.

Looking forward to the next one! ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ

Lancashire Road Club 25mile TT

First 25 mile TT of the year, I had two goals; PB and aim for a sub hour time. Managed to PB taking a minute from my best but didnโ€™t quite get under the hour mark this time.

I feel I paced it really well but maybe eased off a little too much at the start where we had a bit of a tailwind.

Happy enough, Iโ€™ll get it next timeโ€ฆ

Ronde Van Vlaanderen 26 ๐ŸŒŸ

Super pleased with my performance at a race I really enjoy. My aim was to spend the race at the pointy end to help keep it hard and so that I could react to attacks, stay out of crashes and keep a good position.

Tough in the near 30 degree heat but I was pleased with my performance and I felt I had positioned perfectly for the sprint only to been moved off the wheel in the last few hundred meters, still new to the bunch sprint but a huge improvement on last year. Very proud of my result on world represented stage! ๐ŸŒ

Huge Congratulations to on her second top step in Belgium this year!

2up 10 Mile Time Trial.

First time Iโ€™ve done a 2up on a shorter course but I really enjoyed it. I would pace it totally differently now weโ€™ve done one, but I was happy with our form and we were very well synchronised. Team Pursuit paying off!

Finished with a time of around 21:45 but Iโ€™m sure we could smash that again next timeโ€ฆ

In Flanders Field ๐Ÿ•บ ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ช

Really pleased with my ride, a P9 and a great weekend away. After a course reccy Saturday, the plan was simple: stay upright, near the front, and hit the Kemmelberg well positioned.

I moved up well on the Monteberg and reached the Kemmelberg in the first group, but being slightly cautious into the corner cost me speed and with the traffic I lost the front group over the top.

I got into a strong chasing group and we worked hard, but couldnโ€™t close the gap. Happy to finish by winning the sprint from our group โ€” chose the right line and kept the power on to the finish. Excited for more! ๐Ÿ‘Š

Well done to everyone who raced ๐Ÿ‘
