2nd of December 2024, spending the day in Mae Sot, I take the opportunity to settle down and visit some less visited parts of the town. Below are the subtitles of what I said in French in the video:
🇬🇧I wanted to share this somewhat improbable and strange place. Here’s the bridge between Thailand and Burma. It’s calm, nothing’s happening. But this border is practically closed because on the other side there’s a war, a civil war. And Burma—well, I would have loved to visit it since it was the logical route between India and Thailand. Instead, I had to make a huge detour through China, which obviously also has interests in Burma. But it wasn’t possible. It’s a strange feeling to think that on the other side of this river there’s a war.
