These opportunities to come together, outside the usual context of certification, are particularly valuable. They serve as a reminder that behind every precise standard lies the expertise of watchmakers—a shared pursuit of excellence across every brand.

Yesterday evening, at the auction organized by the GWD in support of the Geneva Watchmaking School, the COSC was proud to present a unique timepiece for auction.

Its movement was the winner of Calibership last year, celebrating the excellence, precision and craftsmanship that continue to shape our industry. ⌚️

A huge thank you and congratulations to the generous bidder for supporting the training and development of tomorrow’s watchmaking talents. 🙏

Over the next few days, you’ll have the chance to see leading figures from the watchmaking industry compete in the art of regulating and magnetic resistance testing up close. Don’t miss this opportunity to discover what the Chronometer and Excellence Chronometer certifications truly mean.

From September 2 to 6, the COSC will be at the Geneva Watch Days 2026—the last major watchmaking event before the end of summer.
This is your chance to meet our teams, learn about our certification protocols, and gain a concrete understanding of what goes into a certified chronometer. Teams consisting of a watchmaking student and a watchmaking expert will compete in a regulation contest.
