Israeli forces have, for the first time, acknowledged that they killed five-year-old Hind Rajab in Palestine’s Gaza in 2024, reversing their earlier denials that their troops were present near the scene. Independent investigations using visual and audio evidence later established that Israeli forces were present in the area. The Israeli army also announced on August 19 that it had ordered an internal criminal investigation into her killing. Hind’s grandmother rejected the probe and called for an independent international investigation, saying the family has no confidence in Israel’s judiciary and believes the civilian vehicle carrying Hind and six relatives was deliberately targeted. “We are not demanding justice only in Hind’s name as a child from Gaza, but in the name of all our child martyrs in Gaza,” she said. It all started on 23 April 2025 when Soren Sorensen sang his song "In Her Father's Arms" live from the Room XX of the Human Rights Council, pronouncing the word "Genocide", being the 1st artist doing so at the United Nations. Thanks to the Permanent Observer Mission of the State of Palestine to the United Nations and H.E. Ibrahim Khraishi for supporting this event.
This led to the creation of our NGO with Abdel Wahab Hani.
